What to ask a Bernese Mountain Dog breeder
Ask for both parents' results for OFA Hips, OFA Elbows, Cardiac OFA, DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), VWD (Von Willebrand Disease). Results should be checkable by OFA or registry number, not a verbal assurance.
Breeder licensing in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania requires a Kennel license if you sell more than 60 dogs (dogs sold or transferred per calendar year, or any dog sold or transferred to a dealer or pet shop) in a twelve-month period.
0 of 7 breeders here are matched to an active Kennel license record
No state issues a breed-specific breeder license, and a state license never replaces a USDA license or local zoning.
