What to ask a Bernese Mountain Dog breeder
Ask for both parents' results for OFA Hips, OFA Elbows, Cardiac OFA, DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), VWD (Von Willebrand Disease). Results should be checkable by OFA or registry number, not a verbal assurance.
Breeder licensing in Georgia
Georgia requires a Pet Dealer License if you sell more than one litter or more than 30 adult dogs in a twelve-month period.
No state issues a breed-specific breeder license, and a state license never replaces a USDA license or local zoning.
