What to ask a Bernese Mountain Dog breeder
Ask for both parents' results for OFA Hips, OFA Elbows, Cardiac OFA, DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), VWD (Von Willebrand Disease). Results should be checkable by OFA or registry number, not a verbal assurance.
Breeder licensing in Florida
Florida has no state breeder license. City or county permits and zoning may still apply.
No state issues a breed-specific breeder license, and a state license never replaces a USDA license or local zoning.
