Owners upload records because their vet asked them to. A clinic asks because its own listing improves when they do. That loop — not advertising — is how a lifetime health record gets populated.
Four steps from an unclaimed listing to a practice that benefits when it asks clients to share.
Step 1
Search the vet directory for your practice. Most clinics are already listed from public data.
Step 2
Submit a claim with your identity. Our team reviews and approves within 3 business days — the same clock we hold ourselves to for correcting something we got wrong about you.
Step 3
Print a counter code. No practice-management software, no new hardware. The QR carries a token, never a medical record.
Step 4
When an owner brings records in and you certify them, participation points add to your PawScore. They can only raise it.
A clinic PawScore is built from four pillars about care, then a capped participation bonus for what you do on Pawthentic. A practice that has never heard of us scores exactly as it would if this page did not exist.
Claiming adds 2 points. Asking clients to share and certifying their records can add up to 8 in total. The bonus is capped and can only ever add — a clinic that never claims is not penalised — and Certified Pawthentic is judged on your score before it.
Certified Pawthentic — Reach 85% before the participation bonus, plus evidence about care. Credentials start at 5% and ramp to 25% over 90 days while verification coverage is still thin.
Claiming is free. The desk workflow is a printed code an owner scans on their own phone.
A clinic that helps a client bring records in gains access to those records for that patient, with the owner's consent and the owner's ability to revoke it.
Claim as a practice and invite the team. The person who prints the QR is rarely the same person as the DVM.
Once you have claimed and a real client has shared records, owners see that they can hand you a code and it will work.
A desk placard, rack card, and visit codes live in your clinic dashboard. Anything that requires practice-management software is an optimization, never a prerequisite.
Reach 85% before the participation bonus, with evidence about care on file — accreditation, a board-certified specialist, or a documented service list. Review volume alone cannot produce the badge.
Listings are public records, not a verdict you cannot answer. If a fact is wrong, the same review clock applies to a correction.
Find your clinic in the directory, claim it, and print a code for the counter.
