Gerry of Adorable Down East Labradoodles (ADEL) has been breeding mini and medium labradoodles since 2005. After falling in love with the breed because of his first doodle—a chocolate café labradoodle by the name of Tully—Gerry was inspired to help bring more mini labradoodle love into the world. Although he used to be located in Windham, Maine, he now lives in Sun City, Arizona and brings together families and labradoodle puppies in Greater Phoenix, Southern California, and beyond. Above all else, ADEL’s goal is to produce the healthiest puppies possible. All of their sires (fathers) and dams (mothers) undergo health screenings for common inheritable diseases of the breed. In addition, their sires are introduced from non-ADEL lines to ensure fresh genes are brought in for their puppies. Beyond genetics, ADEL dogs and puppies receive high quality care within Gerry’s home. They eat human-grade food with no fillers, socialize with humans and other dogs daily, and get their bellies scratched almost constantly! Most of the sires and dams live with carefully chosen guardian families, a practice that guarantees ADEL puppies’ parents are not only socialized, but loved as individual family members.

From their very first Australian Labradoodles, Roxy and Kassi, to Denver Nugget and beyond, every dog has been lovingly raised in their home or with a guardian family. Never in a kennel. Always a part of the family. Agape became known not just for the quality of their dogs, but for the care, integrity, and heart that defined every puppy adoption. Today, that legacy continues with Stephanie and Bryan, who proudly carry the torch into the next generation. After being part of the Agape family for over six years, they officially took over the business and remain just as committed to the values that started it all. Together, they share their home with four beloved Agape girls and lead with the same love, care, and excellence that Linda and Sonny modeled so well. Stephanie brings her medical expertise and nurturing spirit to every puppy, overseeing health and hygiene with precision and heart. Bryan brings a background in Fortune 500 leadership, using his skills to create an exceptional client experience and a smoothly run operation. Together, they ensure that every Agape puppy starts life in a loving, thoughtful, and well-prepared environment- and that every family that joins the Agape circle feels like part of something special.
