OFA-verified means we matched a clearance in the OFA public database on a Dachshund the breeder bred. A breeder without a match may still health test; we only count results we could check. 1 of these listings has an open red flag; each profile shows the evidence and how to dispute it.

What to ask a Dachshund breeder
Ask for both parents' results for PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), Patellar Luxation, IVDD Risk (FGF4), Eye CERF. Results should be checkable by OFA or registry number, not a verbal assurance.
Breeder licensing in Maryland
Maryland requires a Kennel license, issued by the county animal control / local licensing agency, not by the state if you meet 6 or more intact females (unspayed females over 6 months kept for breeding and selling offspring) or 6 or more litters.
No state issues a breed-specific breeder license, and a state license never replaces a USDA license or local zoning.
