I had a great experience with Joel and his wife Brittany. Good honest people who love the breed and have their dogs best interest in mind! Their pups are top notch and you would be lucky to get one of their amazing, sweet, smart, athletic pups! Highly recommend them!

I had the privilege of pick of the litter of male pups from from CaliBretons Kennel in Oct 2020. Joel cares deeply about the Breed, it’s history and his dogs. The attention and positive environment he gave the pups was evident each time I came to visit prior to picking up my pup at 8 weeks. My pup’s temperament, health, personality and hunting traits are all top notch. Each of the pups from our litter was well socialized and well on their way to being house trained. He cared about the progress of the pup and was available to answer all of my questions. I have been back on several occasions to let my pup run with his parents and a brother of his from the litter. He is a great little dog. I am questioned often about the breed and I regularly recommend Joel and Californiagundogs.

Joel is a great breeder and an even better person. When I first took interest in getting a new puppy, I messaged him on Instagram and over the course of a few months we were able to build a relationship to see if both dog and human would be a good fit for eachother. He puts in as much research into you as a potential owner of one of his dogs, as you should into him and his kennel. After months of research and communication, we were finally able to greet baby Rocky into this world! I highly recommend Joel, as he is knowledgeable, caring, and really sets up both puppy and human up for success. Will definitely come back to him in the future for more!

Joel and his family are amazing. Their blood line is strong. We were lucky enough to get a wonderful male dog from them this winter and he couldn't be a better family dog, he is so gentle with our two boys 1.5 y/o and 5 y/o. In addition to being a great family dog his bird drive is strong and he's already pointing, gun broke, and retrieving quail at 6 months old...truly amazing blood line. In addition to having a great blood line Joel was gracious enough to help train our puppy for two months and get him ready for hunting season. Our puppy spent two months with Joel and he is ready to hit the field for hunting right now. I can't thank you Joel and his family enough for helping and supporting us through this journey!!! We’ve been holding out for a new puppy for the family for a long time. Once we met them we knew these pups were it! Very easy process with a lot of help before and after. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an amazing puppy and an awesome people to work with.
