California French Brittanys CaliBreton Kennels

Working with Joel at CaliBreton Kennels was a great experience from start to finish. It’s clear he breeds these dogs out of genuine passion and love for the breed, and he treats every puppy with exceptional care. Throughout the process he communicated often, answered my questions promptly, and kept us updated with photos and videos as the puppies grew. Joel made the entire process smooth and enjoyable with his expertise, honesty, and attention to detail. He clearly cares deeply about both the dogs and the families who take them home, which is why we traveled the entire length of California (747 miles each way) to get our puppy. We absolutely love our pup. He’s smart, confident, very trainable, and a lot of fun. The quality of Joel’s breeding and early care really shows, and we’re grateful for his support and guidance. We're very pleased that we got our puppy from CaliBreton Kennels.

Our puppy is home! Joel and Britt were great. Joel was straightforward and transparent, and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I felt confident that I made the right choice and was getting a well-bred, quality dog.

We ate so happy that we got Bella from them, very good dog & hunter just like her mom … we recommend them if you’re looking for hunting dog ir even just a companion. Bella is very sweet & loves playing with my 4 year old nephew! Great for kids .. My husband started hunting her early. She’s only 7 1/2 months old hut she’s doing great & loves to be out there !!!

We brought our new puppy home from CaliBreton Kennels and couldn’t be happier. Prior to selecting a kennel, lots of research went into selecting the breeder for the new-to-be member of our household. We found Joel and knew he was our best bet. Having a history with German Shorthair Pointers, we didn’t know too much about the French Brittany……..only that they would be smaller & not weigh as much, which is what we wanted. After chatting with Joel, you can tell he’s not only knowledgeable about the breed, but absolutely loves them. You can’t miss the passion this guy has & his desire to share the joy of owning a French Brittany. We were so excited to be getting one of his puppies we committed to a 12 hr drive to bring her home. Prior to selection day, Joel has pictures/videos posted of the puppies and their parents. He’s quick to return calls to answer any questions and makes pick up day a breeze. And our puppy? She is now six months old…..friendly, energetic, smart, sweet, healthy…..an absolute dream puppy! Thank you CaliBreton, if we had more energy we’d snap another of your pups up tomorrow!!

Can't say enough about the pleasure of working with Joel and Calibreton on obtaining my good boy, Rye. French Brittanys are no doubt a special breed, and when I searched out a place to find one -- I came across Joel (only a stone's throw from my home in LA). I visited his dogs, placed myself on the list, and Joel often kept me updated on the prospects. When Jazzy (dame) became pregnant, Joel kept me up-to-date and within an hour of delivery of her 9 puppy liter, he immediately reached out and let me know. During the 8-weeks before picking up my pup, he frequently sent photos/videos of the puppies' growth. Eventually, I received my beautiful dog, and now I'm 6-months in. Pet-training and Hunt-training has been spectacular with this breed -- and Joel still keeps me up to date with gundog training advice. Again, I can't say enough praise about these dogs and how Joel brings them into the world for us.
