What to ask a Golden Retriever breeder
Ask for both parents' results for OFA Hips, OFA Elbows, Cardiac OFA, Eye CERF, Ichthyosis (ICT-A). Results should be checkable by OFA or registry number, not a verbal assurance.
Breeder licensing in Iowa
Iowa requires a Commercial breeder permit if you keep more than 3 breeding dogs (breeding males or females).
0 of 7 breeders here are matched to an active Commercial breeder permit record
No state issues a breed-specific breeder license, and a state license never replaces a USDA license or local zoning.
