Duce and Jackie were amazing throughout the whole process of getting our lab puppy. They were always available to talk through things and answer any questions we had, they thoroughly explained the whole process, kept us up to date and informed all along the journey with pictures, videos, weight charts, etc. They are wonderful, warm, kind people and we loved getting to work with them as they helped bring our cutie puppy into the world! We would 1000% recommend Bourbon Country Retrievers to anyone looking for an American lab!! And we can’t wait to come back one day for another puppy!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Bourbon County Retrievers and cannot recommend them enough. I actually found them through a high school friend and reached out about a female puppy from an upcoming litter. They let me know that the litter was already fully reserved, but kindly said they would keep me in mind if Mazey happened to have an extra girl — and sure enough, she did! From the moment Brooks was born through pickup day and even after bringing her home, the entire process was seamless. Duce and Jackie kept us updated weekly with pictures and a weight chart, which made the wait even more special and reassuring. Pickup day was smooth, organized, and so streamlined. Beyond the logistics, Duce and Jackie are truly wonderful people who are incredibly knowledgeable about the Labrador breed. Their care, communication, and passion for what they do really set them apart. We are so grateful for our sweet Brooks and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bourbon County Retrievers to anyone looking for a well-bred, well-loved puppy…especially a future duck dog! They will absolutely be our first call when we’re ready for our next pup down the road!

We have had a great experience meeting Duce and Jackie. We got guidance on which pairing would be best for our family then got to meet the parents. We were updated every step of the way from conception to puppy pickup. Our baby has been home for a week and we are in love! We have no doubt we chose the right breed, breeder, parents and puppy for us!

Working with Duce was an excellent experience from start to finish. From our first conversation, it was clear that he and his wife Jackie genuinely care for their dogs, treating them like family members. They were transparent and welcoming throughout the entire process.The communication was outstanding. They kept us updated with photos and information about our puppy’s development and socialization. They were patient and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. Picking our puppy, Malo, up went so smooth. She was already chipped and we were given a book with all of her information, including: health, pedigree, and feeding. We are so excited to have her home with us! I would definitely recommend Bourbon Country Retrievers to others.

I had to get a stroke and siezure dog and researched a lot of retrieving breed kennels. We went with bourbon county retrievers. They were there every step of the way sending us updated pictures and whenever they gave the dog shots or anything new we were updated. Even after you buy a puppy from these wonderful Christian people they are still there for you with any questions you have for the life of your dog. If I had to get another puppy I would go right back to Phillip. They set you up with a starter pack and all info you need for your puppies health and well being.
