Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this place!! If I could use them for a regular veterinary clinic I would in a heartbeat! First of all, they don't just try and get you in to see them and spend a fortune. If you call, they will ask you what's going on, speak with a doctor, and if it isn't an emergency they will advise you on at-home care FREE OF CHARGE. It's very clear that they care about animals over money. My golden retriever had an allergic reaction a while back and they suggested that we bring him in. I love the setting, everyone seems so professional and knowledgeable and there is no "taking them back" while you sit there anxiously, they do everything right there in front of you. Another time my golden had some blood in his stool and I was freaking out and called just to ask what the initial exam fee was, and after they told me I was about to hang up and drive clear up north and spend probably over $100 on a clinic appointment, when the person on the phone asked me what was going on. They put the doctor on the phone with me and she advised me what to do and saved me a ton of money and unnecessary stress. I will ALWAYS recommend them.

Yelp
While this was a costly kind of unexpected experience, we were treated kindly and fairly for my dog, who was ill at two in the morning. The group did a great job, both explaining the illness as well as trying to expedite care while providing the appropriate evaluation, in this case x-rays, to assess whether our dog had aspirated or ingested something. Turned out it was just kennel, cough, but enough as a dog runner with a dog who has never been sick, to be provided reassurance. I would definitely use the service again if I were truly concerned for the welfare of my pup.

Yelp
Worst emergency experience ever. Do not go here... pls. see below. It was between this and Timberline Vet Emergency and I wish we tried Timberline.
The Dr. could not explain my pet's diagnosis well and what we needed to do to remediate her heart failure event in the immediate future. He was trying to explain to us that she had congestive heart failure - which we already mentioned to him that she was previous diagnosed with and brought with us a previous echocardiogram and chest X-Ray. My pet continued to cough up fluid occasionally through the night after we went to VEG, and the next AM we took her to another Urgent Care (L&L Animal Urgent care) who were amazing. They gave her an injectable furosemide and sent us home with instructions to increase her dose of this med. Simple, thorough, and effective.
Furthermore, we were left sitting around aimlessly - when we clearly and specifically that we came in for CHF, we need a chest Xray and bloodwork done to see if we need to give my pet an increased dose of furosemide and /or an injectable. When I tried to ask one of the vet tech staff when we could take blood so I could put my pet back in the car (she is very anxious at the vet office), I simple got a response that, I don't know what your pet's treatment plan is.. instead of I don't know but I can find out (esp. since there was no one else to treat at that time). Then I asked the doctor again, and he said - oh let me put the lab request in and that same person who didn't know- came to take blood. Just awful attention to detail and experience all around.
Not a single person was competent. Even the check out lady was rude and made us wait to pay the bill for quite a while. And we when we asked finally she said, do you have somewhere to be? Yes we would like to take our sick dog home since we all have been up since 2am. I was very tempted to leave without paying since no one was interested in doing their job

My poor guy, Mr. Kitty started having very severe epileptic seizures on Friday evening, and I rushed him over to VEG on recommendation from a friend. I could not possibly be happier with my and Mr. Kitty's experience. Dr. Park and Dr. Fairbanks were excellent, and every single veterinary assistant and DMV that I spoke with were extremely knowledgeable and efficient, warm, and put me at ease.
This company has figured out a truly better way to do veterinary care for both animals and their people, and they will soon put every other emergency vet in the country out of business. Mr. Kitty is well on his way to a full recovery, and it's just a shame that the best interaction I've had with a business in a long time is one whose services I hope to never have to use again. THANK YOU VEG-INTERBAY STAFF <3
Highly recommend bringing your loved pets here. The care and service towards the pets and their humans was above and beyond. Transparency is a value here as there is no bringing your pet “to the back” - every station is out in the open so you can be with your pet through every procedure and test. The staff has blankets and drinks for the humans to ensure we are also comfortable while waiting for our pets to heal. The demeanor and care from the staff was truly something I’ve never experienced at a vet before - I felt so taken care of and believed my dog was in the best hands possible.
I walked in with my dog who had lethargy, loss of appetite, and diarrhea, and there was no wait, and urgency to solve the issue. What we though was an irritated GI tract was actually a flipped stomach, to which the entire team responded to rapidly and brought him into surgery. I was allowed to stay overnight with my dog while he was healing which helped the both of us with our anxiety.
I have never witnessed this concept at a veterinary clinic before and I wish i could give 10 stars
