Yelp
I took my 8 yo cat, Luna, to VEG in April on a Saturday am as she had stopped eating and lost weight and she was hiding. It was a slow time so we were shown into a room right away. Xrays and bloodwork was ordered. When the bloodwork came back showing failing kidneys I was told that I could leave her for 48 hours to get her back to being ok. They gave her a prognosis of 1-2 years. That would have cost $9K. I did consider it but I sensed that she may never come home and I wanted her to die at home with her feline sisters close by. So I took her home for palliative care. The vet gave her subcutaneous liquids to help keep her hydrated and pain killers and appetite stimulant. I held her all weekend and made plans to have her euthanized the Monday afternoon. I had a couple of questions over the weekend that I called the vet and he answered promptly. And since the vet figured out what was wrong with Luna with bloodwork, the X-ray costs were reimbursed. No price gouging! This place is great! I also liked that she and I had a private room and I could see every procedure that was done to her. I would definitely go back with another pet for emergencies. I thank the VEG team for their compassion and empathy during that really difficult time. And Luna died in my arms surrounded by so much love that Monday am.

Yelp
Took my 2 pound boy here due to some vomiting he was experiencing and right off the jump, they were amazing. They immediately tended to the fact that my babies were getting slightly anxious and vocal, so they offered me a spot in a quiet and separate room. It was a super sweet gesture and such a great starter and setup for how the rest of our visit went down!! Everyone greeted me with such kindness, professionalism, and enthusiasm- I swear I heard "If you need anything at all just pop your head out" like 5+ times and it was overall fantastic. Dr. Cook was kind, great listener (had beautiful eyes, if I'm being honest :D), straight to the point, and understood both my baby's health concerns and financial concerns- which she executed perfectly and accommodated gracefully.
My babies are teeny tiny, and the way everyone gushed over them, and the way they handled them made me feel so safe. Never once did I even question if they knew what they were doing. BIG APPLAUSES!!!!

VEG took great care of our cat who was blocked due to FIC, they took quick action, answered all of our questions, and went over everything with us in extreme detail. It was a wild experience to be in the room with them while they triaged our cat and other animals, we stepped out during the procedure but you can stay with your pet the entire time if your choose to. All of the staff were incredibly calm and friendly every time we visited our cat and the doctors were there on the phone to give any updates when we called to check in. Thank you so much to their incredible team, our kitty Licorice is feeling so much better. Thanks for being so kind and taking such good care of him. We can’t thank you enough.
I'd like to update my review because our experiences since our first visit have been completely different.
We've needed emergency catheterization twice since then--once at 1:00 a.m. last week at the Palo Alto location and again this morning at 7:00 a.m. in San Jose.
At Palo Alto, we saw Dr. Mangat. He quickly assessed my dog, and although we waited a short time while he finished caring for another patient, I always felt my pup was in capable hands. Dr. Mangat was attentive, compassionate, and took wonderful care of him. I'm incredibly grateful and would not hesitate to see him again.
This morning at the San Jose location, we saw Dr. Lee. If I could give her 20 stars, I would. She and her team assessed my dog immediately and provided exceptional care. They were kind, efficient, and treated both my pup and me with genuine compassion. I would absolutely love to have Dr. Lee as my regular veterinarian.
Looking back, I believe our first visit was simply a one-off experience, perhaps on an unusually difficult day. Based on these last two visits, my confidence in VEG has been completely restored.

Yelp
We had to sadly put our Cocker Spaniel down but the whole team in VEG took care of us. They were extremely helpful and understanding and made the process a little easier to bear. They were straightforward with the diagnoses and the steps that needed to be taken to make sure our girl was comfortable in her last moments. We had a wonderful team working with us and one in particular, Sarah, was down right amazing. The second we ran into their doors Sarah was there to comfort not only our dog but us as well. She was kind, empathetic and grieved with us. We want to thank everybody who had helped us and to Sarah who gave us such warm consolation during and after such a hard time.
