VCA Santa Monica Main Street Animal Hospital

The receptionists and Vet technicians are Amazing, kind, helpful and knowledgeable they care! The VET and business are Not any of those. Didn't read any of my cats history, didn't read any of the supplements and wanted to charge 5 xs what most vets charge for the same services. I would never recommend their veterinary services. My cat with ckd needed subcutaneous fluids and they were charging $141.00 - for reference most other vet's charge between $30-$50. Home visits by verified vet technicians is the between $30-$40. 5xs more? I live 3 blocks from them and was hopeful for the convenience - but Main Street VCA as a business does NOT care about your pets well being. They care about profits. Their technicians and receptionists are their only redeeming asset. - thank you. Over priced. The lack of prep and information was terrible saving my cat's life -zero.

I came in to get my dogs, core vaccines and casually asked if they did nail trimmings when they came in to go over the estimates they kept trying to sell me more things continuously talking about other vaccines that weren't not necessary and then charge me $50 per dog for trimmings and did not disclose this information to me completely unprofessional and constantly trying to up your bill rather than care about your dog. The person that went over. My estimate with me was new and I just didn't feel comfortable with explaining the price to me is what the manager said. Seems more like they care about filling their pockets rather helping animals.

I definitely recommend VCA Main Street. I had an emergency and had to bring my dog in and they saw him right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also followed up after my appointment to check on my dog.

We haven't had the best experiences at the West LA VCA on Sepulveda, so we've been hoping to find a better and closer veterinary hospital near our home in Santa Monica. VCA Santa Monica truly exceeded our expectations. The facility is clean, calm, and thoughtfully designed--even the exam room had a cat tower to help our kitties feel comfortable. The vet techs and doctors were incredibly kind, gentle, and knowledgeable. Their "fear-free" approach really stood out--they never force treatments, and instead focus on reducing stress and prioritizing the animal's comfort and well-being. That gave us so much peace of mind knowing our cats were in good hands. Even though they weren't able to get a urine sample, they still sent us home with UTI medication and even a couple of little toys. They also sent a follow up message checking in a few days later. We were so impressed with their care, compassion, and overall philosophy. We'll definitely be returning.

Recently, we relocated to Santa Monica and are delighted to have discovered this veterinary practice. The staff exhibits exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and a warm and welcoming demeanor. The premises, despite being situated within a historic building, boasts a contemporary and serene atmosphere. My dog has found her vet!
