Uptown Veterinarian

If you're looking for a vet in Uptown, I genuinely can't recommend Uptown Vet enough. We moved here just over a year ago with no idea where to take our dogs. I actually tried getting into another clinic first, but they had a long waitlist. Looking back, I'm so thankful that happened because we ended up here instead. In the past year, they've become so much more than just our vet. They never make me feel crazy for bringing up a concern, and they've always been willing to dig deeper instead of sending us home with a "let's just wait and see." When we first started coming here, I didn't even realize how uncomfortable my dog really was. Thanks to this team, he's lost the weight he needed to, finally has medication that keeps his stomach working the way it should, and they trusted me when I felt like one of his teeth was causing him pain. Every step of the way, they've treated him like family. As someone with a reactive dog, having a clinic that my dog actually gets excited to visit is something I never thought I'd say. That alone speaks volumes about the people here ! A huge thank you to Dr. Allison for believing me when I knew his stomach issues were food-related, Dr. Rachel for taking care of an angry tooth, and the amazing techs...Kyla, Amanda, Francesca and everyone else who's loved on our animals every visit. In the nicest way possible, I hope we won't see you as regularly as we have been... but I'm so grateful to know you're here when we do. My dogs continue to live bigger lives because of the team here.

Lovely staff and very affordable. I've only been twice but I'm very fortunate to have them in the neighborhood. Everyone has been friendly and knowledgeable, and take their time gathering information and doing exams. They were able to fit my dog in astoundingly quickly (next day) even as a new patient, and the environment itself is calm and pleasant, with good separation for the comfort and peace of the animals. They've given my rescue a great first experience at the vet.

Very nice techs and doctors. They were really gentle with my cat and provided me with a lot of resources to help my kitty!

I’ve brought my dog to this practice for six years, and I’ve generally been happy with the care. That’s why today was so disappointing. I brought him in for a routine follow-up after some elevated test results at his last visit. During the procedure, he was injured — the area right under his eye was left open and bleeding. He was also returned to me smelling of feces after having an accident while in their care. So a dog who came in for a simple follow-up went home bleeding and smelling of waste. What pushed my frustration over the edge was being charged for the antibiotic to treat an injury their own technician caused. I don’t think it’s fair to bill a client for fixing harm that happened on their watch. I’ve been a loyal client for a long time, and I hope they’ll take this seriously.

Can’t recommend Uptown Vet enough! They treat every animal uniquely and meet them where they are at. They help my dog feel as calm and relaxed as possible, and I can’t thank them enough. Shoutout to Blanca, extremely patient and knowledgeable vet tech. Thank you Uptown Vet!
