Uintah Pet Emergency

We had to take our 7 month old Pomsky in because he had been poisoned by a marijuana pouch he got a hold of on our communities property. They were phenomenal in providing him care and saving him. We were so grateful to find someone close to us and the speed eith which he was seen. The staff were compassionate and very knowledgeable. Kudos to Dr. Wood as well!

I am so grateful to all of the staff at UPE. After my dog was attacked by two off leash Great Danes, he required a surgery followed by a drain placement a few days later to repair the damage caused from the biting and tearing. The vets and nurses are so incredibly kind, and worked with me to manage my dog’s fearful reactivity. It all went as smoothly as possible, and while he will be on the mend for a while, I know that they helped give him the best chance for recovery.

Had to bring my Frenchie here because thought she ate something poisonous. They took her right back and started figuring out what was wrong with her. Come to find out she’s having seizures the vet, tech receptionist, and the vet were all great. Give me bad news like she’s got seizures and they were very compassionate about it. I would definitely take any of my animals here again.

The Vet Mark? I think? Was great. The receptionist a bit cold. Vet assistants very friendly and caring. The Vet was very communicative and friendly. The wait time was quite long. We were there for over 6 hours and she got blood work an X-ray and 3 shots. (Which did not work). They are very, very expensive. I didn't feel like we got many options on what to do and ultimately no resolution. Thankfully my pet was fine in the end but they wanted us to come back after we had already spent $1,000 with no resolution. I had an emergency situation with one of my other pets and I took them to the animal ER on Powers called southern rockies animal emergency & specialty. It was a way worse emergency and actually cost less than what Uintah did and it was very emergency. They had to give her several medications and oxygen and had her for about 12 hours. Still cost less and at Uintah we mostly just waited. They did not do much or resolve anything. So I'm confused if it's just a money grab or understaffed or what? My baby is ok so whatever. I can be happy with that and learn and move on. However that's a bit of a letdown. The home care that we provided for my pet I think helped more than anything that they did at the office. Got most of the info off the Internet from people who had similar emergency issues with their pets. So maybe don't jump the gun next time unless you really think it's an emergency. And if so I would probably go elsewhere. I think they care I just think that they are short-staffed and overpriced.

Our dog, Loki, received excellent care at Uintah Pet Emergency. From the moment we arrived, we had no wait, and the entire staff was incredibly caring and helpful. The veterinarian was outstanding—she took the time to truly listen to our concerns and answered all of our questions thoroughly. After a careful examination of Loki's paw, leg, and shoulder, she clearly explained our options without any pressure. We opted for x-rays to rule out major musculoskeletal issues, and the doctor went above and beyond by explaining the results in depth. Thankfully, everything looked good! Loki is now resting at home with an anti-inflammatory and is on the mend. We have a follow-up with our regular vet this Friday, but we are so grateful for the professional and compassionate service we received here."
