Amazing practice from the doctor to the techs to the front end staff! We were referred to them because my German Shepherd started to have cluster seizures. Dr. Birkel is so knowledgeable and does not rush through your pet's appointment. She thoroughly examined my dog then sat with us explaining EVERYTHING she found, gave us a really extensive explanation about his seizures, the possible reasons for them and laid out a complete plan for his care. I left this appointment feeling so much better about my poor dog's condition. My Shepherd liked her a lot, too. I highly recommend Tucson Veterinary Specialists!!!! You guys are truly a blessing.

Dr.Alcott is a compassionate genius. MY wonderfulAmerican bulldog was having seizures. The cause is difficult to diagnose and there difficult to treat. Doing the right tests and being very thorough he got to the root of the problem. He really thought it through. He really cared. My dog is much improved and I am grateful. I wish I had a doctor for myself as good as Dr.Alcott. Tucson pet owners are lucky to have such skilled neurologist in town.

I cannot recommend Dr. Alcott, Marissa, and the entire team at Tucson Veterinary Specialists highly enough. Our puppy, Dice, underwent a dorsal laminectomy here when he was just 7 months old. We are now four weeks post-surgery, and he is doing incredibly well and actively recovering more and more every single day. From our very first consultation, Dr. Alcott blew us away with his extensive knowledge and absolute professionalism. Facing a major spinal procedure on a puppy so young was incredibly stressful, but Dr. Alcott's calm demeanor instantly put us at ease and gave us complete confidence that Dice was in the best possible hands. A special shoutout goes to Marissa as well, whose outstanding performance and dedicated care throughout the entire process made a world of difference for us and Dice. If your pet ever requires specialized neurological care or surgery, this is the team you want in your corner. Thank you all for giving our boy such a bright, active future ahead of him!

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. We took our older Great Pyrenees to see Dr. Birkel here; she was kind, compassionate, and smart, and was able to diagnose his issue quickly as well as provide some great ideas as to what to do to help him. Definitely five stars!

The staff and doctor were very kind and supportive as we brought our dog in. I felt that they were being very honest about treatment options and that they were in good faith trying to help keep costs down as much as possible for us. My boy is home resting now and for the first time in two weeks I feel we have answers about how to help him. Thank you Dr Alcott and staff, I can't express enough my appreciation.
