Overall, a very good experience but had some negative notes. The vet and assistants were so sweet with her. The two negative experiences would be the only staff member/ check out person who came off a bit judgemental that I didn't pick a more effective (and therefore expensive) treatment and told me I "needed to get it on the next visit". It was outside of my budget for that visit (didn't get a chance to tell them because I was quite shocked they said something like that), and my pet *did* get treatment with the less expensive brand, which the actual vet said was fine. (Hopefully I either misread it, or they were just having an off day.) As for being over budget, I wasn't informed of all the treatments my pet would need and ended up getting charged more than quoted by almost $100. To end on a positive note, they were able to fit us in as a short notice appointment.
My French bulldog and I have been to this office twice now, since moving to San Antonio. The staff is friendly and I have been satisfied with the care and needs given to my little Luna. The rooms and waiting room area are always spotless and do not smell like other vets I have been too. This is our new vet office in San Antonio and am happy to have found such a clean, affordable and caring staff to treat our Luna!
i thought it would change after Dr Mark died. I already found another vet but they weren't as nice. so I went back. the staff is still just as lovely. There's some new faces but still so helpful. They even helped me carry my food out and called me the next day to check on my cat. ill keep going over there even though traffic.

Yelp
This clinic is absolutely THE WORST. Thank heavens I found a good clinic. In FIVE YEARS, FIVE YEARS not ONE SINGLE person in this clinic EVER said hello to either of my pups or to me, for that matter. It seems as though these people actively dislike animals. Do yourself a favor and avoid this clinic at all costs. You're nothing but $$ to them. It's like an assembly-line factory. - ADDING TO THIS REVIEW. THIS REVIEW WAS POSTED UNDER A DIFFERENT USER ACCOUNT OF MINE THAT YELP DEFAULTED TO. I ASSURE ALL YOU PET OWNERS OUT THERE THAT I WENT TO THIS CLINIC FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS - THEY ARE THE WORST. See other 1-star reviews below. See comments from Diane O. who writes "Horrible customer service" - 100% correct. See other comment from
Domonique V., who writes "Staff was not empathetic at all. Don't even go here" - also 100% correct. I could go on, and on, and on about how awful this staff is. You might ask - why did you keep going there? The answer was convenience. For years I lived in Austin, and my doggies lived in San Antonio. I would come visit my doggies every weekend, sometimes every other weekend. This clinic is very close to where my doggies lived. So, I will own up to the fact that I put up with this awful service due to my own complacency and the convenience of it. My eyes were finally opened when I had had enough and found a new clinic. The staff at this new clinic! It's like night and day. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a complete lack of interest in animals, or human clients, this staff displays. You'd think they were selling you building materials.

Yelp
Losing my dog, Charlie Brown, was one of the hardest things I've ever gone through, and I honestly cannot say enough about the compassion shown by the staff at Southeast Animal Hospital.
From the way they treated Charlie Brown in his final moments to the kindness they showed me afterward, everything felt deeply personal and sincere. Afterward, the staff sent me a beautiful card filled with handwritten messages. Reading those words, one by one, I could feel the genuine care behind them. It did not feel routine or scripted. It felt human.
They treated Charlie Brown with dignity, gentleness, and respect, and they gave me the space and compassion I needed to say goodbye.
When you love an animal as family, those moments matter forever. I will never forget the kindness they showed me during such a painful time.
Thank you to everyone at Southeast Animal Hospital who cared for Charlie Brown and took the time to sign that card. It meant more than I can properly express.
