Society Hill Veterinary Hospital

Efficient and compassionate service from the person at the desk to the wellness check throughout. And, for cat owners, please note that Saed, the vet nurse, is the ultimate cat whisperer. My neurotic, fearful of the vet, aggressive during vet visit cat just lay there happily with her eyes closed and at ease (while she got two shots and a needle aspiration of a lump) simply because he was holding and soothing her. Very impressive. Great experience for both my cat and me.

I will admit I have extremely high standards in veterinary care. Our dog, Tucker, has been extensively trained to work part-time as a service dog to provide echolocation services when needed in certain environments and is trained to provide early intervention to minimize PTSD symptoms from escalating as well. So, we are EXTREMELY proactive in our pup's holistic, health and wellness care. But, these days, our "pup" is young at heart, but not in body. His care needs have increased with the normal aging process but he's also adjusting to our relocation to Philadelphia. We've found that the entire team at Society Hill has stepped into his geriatric canine care as though they have been treating him since he was a young whippersnapper. Our little man is nine years old and he enjoys the flat 25 minute walk to the practice. There has never been a day when I have called and not been given an appointment within 24 to 48 hours if I had a concern. His introductory physical was one of the most comprehensive he's received across three countries and six states. The practice has onsite lab capabilities as well as ultrasound and fundamental Xray. They use AI (if you give permission) which I love because the visit summaries and the follow up notes have captured every single concern I have expressed as his ride or die human with both significant detail and accuracy I expect from both human and veterinary care professionals who treat my loved ones. Their care approach uses modern and comprehensively designed methods. It's clear that Tucker understands and trusts that the staff truly care about him. I love that I receive multiple follow up communications. The office itself is soothing and well designed in a pleasant neighborhood that is easily accessible with parking available. The prices are competitive and they haven't ever ordered excessive unnecessary tests, procedures, or medication. They provide invoices for our pet insurance reimbursements. On top of everything else, they treat my little guy as though he was a part of their little family. What else can you ask for? If I could give 10 stars I would because they always go above and beyond.

BEST VET EXPERIENCE EVER. My 1 y/o dog went for an initial visit for routine services and Dr. Bujanda and her whole staff including reception were so kind, caring, and thorough. Dr. Bujanda provided the expected services but also went above and beyond and provided education on preventative care measures for my dog including ear and teeth hygiene which I really appreciated. I was impressed by the whole positive vibe/atmosphere in the office. My dog had a great experience and honestly is probably excited for the next visit because she got so much attention and treats for her vaccines.

The staff is always wonderful. We have been taking our dog here for years and have always had tremendously positive experiences with the team. Thanks to the entire team!!! Our dog actually likes going. There is a small parking area and plenty of parking in headhouse square. A small win but worth mentioning when considering vet care. We priced other care and found it comparable. Highly recommend

Society Hill is the best vet i’ve been to in Philly. They are professional, warm and caring. Dr Shirosky is the best. Her and the rest of the team took care of my sick cat. During that hard time she helped to put me at ease and did everything possible to help my pet.
