Shelby Street Animal Clinic

Took my dog here for the first time this week. Everyone from the front desk to the vet techs and the veterinarian were all so kind and explained everything to me very thoroughly. We will absolutely be back! :-)

I decided to find a vet closer to home and had read great reviews about Shelby Street Animal Clinic. Staff and vet were super friendly and knowledgeable. Scheduling a visit was super quick and easy via their website. However, I’ve been to a few different vets around Indy over the past 11 or so years (Eagle Creek, Brookville Animal Hospital, Leo’s Pet Care) and $230 for a basic wellness visit + standard vaccines is an absurd price. We didn’t even have heartworm testing done so it’s hard to say what that would’ve added. By far the most expensive annual vet visit I have ever had.

I’ve been bringing my cats here for years, and I’ve always had a great experience. The staff is friendly, caring, and always treats my cats with kindness. They take the time to answer my questions and never make me feel rushed. I trust them with my pets, and that’s why I keep coming back. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet.

Dr. Rivera and Dr. Wilson both seem to really care about each fur baby. The technicians are also wonderful. We have several cats, and they take care of all of them

I came to the vet feeling nervous and unsure, but from the moment I arrived, Dr. Smith and Avery made me feel at ease. They were kind, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. You can truly tell they care about animals and their well-being. Excellent care and a great experience overall. Highly recommend.
