San Marco Animal Hospital

Do not bring your pets here! I used to use this place as my dog's primary veterinarian and they completely messed him up. For starters this place will rob you blind by pretending there is something seriously wrong with your dog; $2000 later they will laugh about it "just being freckles". I had several negative experiences when visiting this vet, especially with Dr. R, he was extremely unpleasant to have to deal with. My dog received a rabies vaccination from them in November 2024 -- immediately after receiving this, my dog began exhibiting symptoms that something was very wrong. It all started with his hearing. I first noticed it when I was playing one of my favorite games, The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. I had played this game at least five times around my dog before, but this time just hearing one note from the songs sent him into an upset and made him run to the other room crying. He also became sensitive to thunder, something else that had never bothered him before. Skip ahead four months and he's having trouble walking, wobbling and falling off the bed. Two months later he had two seizures within two weeks of each other. Since then he's had neurological problems that have prevented him from being able to drink water out of the bowl and properly being able to eat food. He no longer barks and stares off into space like he is in a trance. San Marco Animal Hospital is willingly injecting pets with vaccinations that they know cause negative side effects. Unfortunately my dog is one of their victims. The last year and a half has been nothing but one medical problem after another. TL;DR -- Do not trust this place. They care about money and will cause irreparable harm to your pets without a shred of remorse.

These people killed my dog!!! I brought my 7-year-old dog to this facility for a routine anal gland expression and his annual vaccinations. He had undergone anal gland expressions many times in the past without any complications. Called San Marco back after noticing severe swelling and bleeding with his rectum and they told me to bring him back. After returning home the second time I noticed that his rectal area was severely swollen and he was unable to sit. He began passing bright red blood in his stool and continued to decline throughout the night with diarrhea and vomiting. The bleeding became progressively worse, and I rushed him to the emergency veterinary hospital. According to the emergency veterinarian, my dog arrived in shock. Despite extensive efforts to save him, including emergency treatment and CPR, he suffered a seizure and cardiac arrest. Tragically, he did not survive. I am devastated by the loss of my beloved companion at only 7 years old. What should have been a routine visit ended in the most heartbreaking outcome imaginable. I trusted this facility with my dog's care, and I am left with unanswered questions and profound grief. Pet owners deserve transparency, compassion, and accountability when serious complications occur. This has been one of the most painful experiences of my life, and I feel others should be aware of what happened to my dog at San Marco animal hospital.

Honestly for the location the prices are extremely reasonable, and I'm definitely not made of money. The staff is super friendly and my elderly blind and almost deaf dog are very comfortable coming here🐶

Wonderful vet. Dr. Raju and the entire staff are so kind. I've never had any issue getting my cat in for an appointment. It's a small, calm, comfortable little vet office. Dr. Raju is highly knowledgeable and respectful, always taking the time to explain my cat's medical needs and the details of her care. My cat was quite ill and they saved her life. She is back to her old self. I highly recommend this vet!

The cat is still doing fine nine months later he had a flesh eating bacteria under his skin. The injection killed the bacteria now the cat is doing just fine. Acting like a cat again highly recommend this place.
