River City Veterinary Hospital

Brought my dog Layla here & my Vet Tech Michelle was very kind & knowledgeable. She made the appointment feel very comfortable & felt like I was talking with a friend. I also brought my dog Duchess here for the first time ever a few months ago & ever since i’ve been happy with my new vet.

Typically, River City has been very good. This time, however, my experience has been more than frustrating. Traffic put me there 15 minutes late, and that meant they had to work us back in. An emergency had arrived just ahead of us, so there were no spare rooms. A steady stream of on-time appointments kept coming on, so we kept waiting. I understand the emergency and the prioritizing of on-time customers. My frustration is that, if I hadn't asked, I'd have never known. No one cared to communicate anything to me about the extreme delay, and I'd have never known if I hadn't asked at the one-hour mark. They may take good care of pets, but their organizational communication skills are severely lacking. To be frank, I'm at an hour and 15 minutes, two more pet just came in and I have no clue how much longer - or even if - we'll be seen today. And there won't be any communication until they're ready for us. Given how far we drive to get here, I will be investigating other options moving forward.

We changed vets because our oldest baby has problems when taken away from us to get treated and they let you be in the room. And that's the biggest complaint I have heard on social media about other vet's so know they care and understand here. I love this place! We have 3 dogs now and all go here and love it look forward to seeing everyone at the vet office they treat you like family. We recommend them to everyone to go there all our family and friends we have sent quite a few people and everyone calls and tells us Thank you for the recommendation. All the vets there are great caring and great with animals (our family!!!) and Becca, Katie, and Michelle are so great and always wanting to help our family we love them. I have rescued a few strays and I take them there first they CARE you can tell they genuinely love animals just like your pet can tell you will notice the love and support the moment you walk through the door. We highly recommend taking your Babies to them you will not regret it.

I absolutely love this Veterinary Hospital!!! The whole team is amazing, and they help me every which way they can !!! The Vets , Becca , Katie , Michelle, ( just to name a few ) make my pets and I feel at home , and are so excited to see us when we come in !!! They go above ,and beyond to make us feel comfortable, they are very knowledgeable, and so caring !!!! I can say I trust them with my life , as every time I bring my pets in , I'm trusting them with my heart !!!! I went through a lot of veterinary hospitals looking for the perfect one , and for the last 5 years or so , Ive been so at ease knowing I have a team that will help me with any medical issue I don't understand with my pets !!! (Big or small ) They never make me feel like a burden when I call !!!! It's actually quite the opposite ...When I call , they seem more concerned than I am !!! And that is saying a lot, cuz I am very concerned all the time about my babies!!!! Thank you so much for being the greatest of all time River City Veterinary Hospital !!!!! 🩷💙🩷

I have recently (within the past almost year) switched to River City Vet from a previous wellness plan at Banfield and I am very happy so far. Visits are detailed, but to the point and no unnecessary salesy stuff. This time I called because my dog needed his anal glands done and they got me in same day. Once they took him back, it was very quick, my dog was handled well and everyone I interacted with was friendly. I did step in a fresh pile of poo out front that someone left so that was pretty disgusting and I saw several other fresh piles and some left on the sidewalk, but that's no fault of the business. Rather inconsiderate dog owners, which is a pet peeve of mine. I would suggest a waste bag dispenser with signage and garbage can near the entrance to persuade people to clean up after their pets. Either way, this will continue to be the place I bring my dog for veterinary care!
