Read on GoogleDr. Soli is wonderful! We've been taking our dog here since she was 8 weeks old and she's now three years old. You can tell how much he truly cares about your dog and he is so kind! His building and office is by no means fancy, but when you're looking for a great veterinarian that's not something that's important. Although he does decorate for every holiday, which is cute. If you're looking for a veterinarian in the city, look no further than Rittenhouse veterinary medical center! Having a vet like Dr. Soli is always a 5 star experience. He's very knowledgeable and has so much experience. Thanks for always taking care of Gracie when we need you!
Not a good experience here. I made a first time appointment for my two dogs, and the receptionist was great. I explained that one of my dogs, a 40 lb. Shiba Inu was a difficult needle stick and that previous vets in at Queens Village Animal Hospital and in NJ had to throw a blanket over his head. She assured me that they were experienced enough to handle it. My other dog is a 100 lb. Great Pyrenees...sweet and gentle and no bother at all, except for having the incurable Cushings disease. All was set for Peteys appointment for tomorrow when I was told to have their last medical records faxed over from NJ. Within an hour, they called back and told me they were unable to fit them in or deal with Cushings. I told them I understood, and hardly expected them to cure the incurable. I also told them I already had appointments so they clearly had scheduled time. The receptionist put on the manager and it quickly dawned on me that my Shiba Inu was just too much of a pain in the ass to bother with. Granted, he is a handful. But you'd think thats an occupational hazard that they'd learn to deal with. When I asked him if that was the actual issue, he told me to assume what I wished but that he couldnt help me. I ashamedly hung up with two words I wished I hadent used. I was able to get both my dogs in at World of Animals on 20th so all worked out. As far as Rittenhouse Animal Hospital, I could only recall the Seinfeld episode where Elaine struggled to deal with being labeled as a difficult patient on her medical records!
This is the most shady operation I've ever encountered. The receptionist called me after I have set up an appointment and stated that they are not willing to take my pet because the pet is sick. WTF kind of vet isn't accepting a pet that has stomach issues? The shocking part, is they wouldn't give me a reason when I asked for it and I've been more than polite the 2 times I spoke with them (the receptionist said "We don't need to provide you a reason"). When I asked which doctor made such decision, they were even more shady stating "You can look it up online". I asked why they are being so secretive and can't tell me the name of the doctor, the response I got "This is public information, go look it up online". WOW. THEIR INCOMPETENCE IS APPALLING! If your pet ever gets sick, this is NOT a place that treats one. Better establish a DIFFERENT vet in the city, who can accept your loving pet in case it gets sick.
Dr. Soli is the best! So personable and great with our cat. Hopefully we do not need to take him back for awhile, but if we do, we will be taking him back to Dr. Soli without hesitation. We felt assured that our cat was in the best hands the second he walked through the door!
