Primary Care Animal Hospital

My husband and I highly recommend Primary Care Animal Hospital! Dr. Manzanares, the entire clinical team, and the wonderful front desk staff took amazing care of our dog, Kobe, during his cryptorchid neuter and hernia repair surgery, as well as during his recent visit. Dropping him off early at 7:30 AM was tough, but one of the staff her name is Shioka C. immediately put our minds at ease by sending a picture of him getting ready and giving regular updates once he went into surgery. Kobe recovered so well, and we are incredibly thankful to Dr. Manzanares and everyone there for taking such great care of our Kobe. If you are looking for compassionate, top-notch care for your pet, we cannot recommend them enough!

Unfortunately, I have to give this place a bad review. I'll still be using them until I get a new vet referral. I was there today for my 10:30am appointment. My dog had to have an xray. I was not released to leave after 4:30 pm and that's bz I was so ready to go. They forgot to do the tear exam and they charged me for it. Also, they charged me for a medicine they did not have so then I had to give me a refund that who knows how long it will take. The front desk girl was trying to be nice but she had no clue what was going on. She said sorry so many times bz they were under staffed and super busy. This seems to be happening more and more at this place. Maybe they are over booking The vet was nice and knowledgeable. It used to not be this way.

Review reflects support staff. Saw Dr Jacobo and the consult was great as usual. I initially checked in promptly and seen promptly. As part of the check-in, staff asked for a good phone number to reach me just in case. Following the consult, I was instructed to wait for after visit review, as usual. I was forgotten in the room. I looked out a few times and made eye contact with staff that acknowledged. After over 30 minutes, I stepped out to ask if I had been forgotten. They check with front desk and come back to say I'm good to go. I asked, what was I waiting for? Just another, good to go response. When I asked the front desk what happened, they just tell me things were wrapped up. I asked what about the bill? They said they thought I had left and called my spouse at work to take care of payment. I asked why they didn't call me, they had just asked for my phone number. Only response was, sorry but you're all set now. I get lapses and being busy, but when processes are in place and even if forgetting a patient was still in the exam room, but not calling the number that was just asked for is without any competent excuse.

So I have been taking my dog Sophie to this vet for over 8 years, they have had many doctors but Dr.Robin is by far the best- she is so attentive and caring. I have been tight on money for certain meds and treatments but she finds a way to help. I cannot say enough how appreciative I am to her. She is so kind and actually cares to help. Big shout out to the team and her! Thank you!

The staff here won't allow you to speak to a manager when there is an issue . My dogs treatment plan was not documented well by the vet after a recorded phone call. They won't let me speak to the vet since the pharmacy is not giving the meds that the vet told me to give. So frustrating when you are dealing with a sick pet. Do not recommend this vet to anyone.
