DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO HERE. Do not go to this clinic if you value your animals. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. They are not worth your time and immediately go somewhere else. They have no respect for their clients or the animals. I was a client for 3 years and have recently lost all faith and trust in this practice to ethically serve me and my fur babies. They are afraid of animals. My dog has never had any need for a muzzle or sedation in the three vets we used prior to moving to this town. Due to the fear the staff of this clinic have of animals, they always tried to muzzle and sedate my dog. I trusted them until recently when we were forced to go to specialists for more technical care. The specialists never tried to use a muzzle or sedation in the 6 times that we went to the specialist clinic. It was never even a thought or question they asked. When I brought this up to Pikes Peak Vet they would not listen to me. I decided that I was uncomfortable with the fear tactics and this vet within 24 hours cancelled an appointment on me. They screened my calls and refused to listen. They do not care about your animals and only want money. When you question them and ask why they do not use the same tactics as other vets, they will childishly do whatever retaliatory tactics they can think of regardless of the needs of the animals. So animal care is not as important as money and their self serving interests. I cannot imagine taking medical care from a clinic unwilling to adapt, grow and listen to the tactics of other clinics. If another vet was able to care for my dog without a muzzle and strong sedation, why would they not ask themselves how and why that was able to occur? No growth can be had in an environment so unwilling to listen to outsider knowledge. This is all important to note that my dog never had any incidents of biting or hurting anyone. He was merely afraid of the vet and stayed away from them and growled in fear. This fear was compounded by their fear and then the muzzle became a prominent feature of his visits. We recently adopted a puppy and at 4 months old they tried to muzzle her because she nibbled on someone's hand who works there when this staff member approached her. I guess they have never seen a puppy before because in our experience, nibbling is typical during this stage. But this is something to fear of the staff in this clinic. Honestly, we should have left a while ago and I regret not doing this sooner. My cat died in their care and upon reflection it was due to misdiagnosis. I tried to get past this and stay with the clinic, but they have not learned or grown at all. I know of three other patients that have left their care in the last year. One of those clients has told me that their new clinic charges half of what this vet charges. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO HERE.
