Montclair Animal Clinic

Dr. Sharkey is a kind, thoughtful, and informative vet. Love every experience and have been coming here for 3 years. The process is easy and they’ve always been on time with appointments. In the age of corporate and untrustworthy vets, Montclair is a breath of fresh air. Look no further if you’re looking for a new clinic with people who care.

I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my animals. I would let Dr. Sharkey operate on my kids and the assisting staff are the most caring, kindhearted people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Thank you so so much!

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and their team. We brought our cats in for routine vaccinations, and shortly afterward one of my boys had a severe allergic reaction and went into anaphylactic shock. It was one of the scariest moments I’ve experienced as a pet owner. The staff acted incredibly fast, accurately identified what was happening, and immediately began treatment. Their professionalism, knowledge, and calm demeanor made all the difference during an emergency situation. Beyond their medical expertise, they were genuinely caring and compassionate toward both my cat and me. Thanks to their quick action, my boy is doing so much better already, and I am beyond grateful for the care he received. It’s clear that everyone here truly loves animals and is dedicated to providing exceptional care. I would trust them with my pets again without hesitation. Thank you for saving my boy!

I’ve been taking my pets to Montclair Animal Clinic for decades. They take great care of my animals — and me! I feel seen and heard and their advice is always grounded and practical. It’s never a sales pitch. We love the Drs Sharkey! :)

I have brought all my pets (and there have been quite a few!) here for over 25 years, including shots twice a week for a month, so you see a lot. The care and compassion Dr. Steve and staff have shown has always been amazing. (Dr. Tina is really great, too, but we have only seen her a few times, including my dog's recent euthanasia and she was very kind and caring.) Steve takes his time, manages your pet's care realistically and fairly and always follows up. There have been many evenings he has called well after-hours and he hasn't seemed hurried or bothered, but rather concerned and available. One thing about this clinic is that they have kept their prices fair and within your budget. I think they have to charge what the lab charges them and there isn't much they can control. Their pharmacy program is helpful and cost savings, too. I recommend them to everyone.
