So I never write reviews but let me tell you, listen to your gut. I saw all the poor reviews saying how he was already being reported and boy I shouldn't have given him the benefit of the doubt. He ended up kicking me out because I asked too many questions (blessing in disguise!). I don't want to go in depth because it's not that important at this point. I will say that I came in for a fox tail removal, and he started telling me my dog needs a teeth cleaning for $200. He even told me that poor dental health can lead to DEATH... but that people don't list it because 'they' don't want to scare anyone. I told him that a vet I recently saw said that my dog won't need a teeth cleaning for at least another year and he started bashing on him asking how old that vet was and that he was inexperienced for saying that. ?? Yet I asked the vet at the urgent care I ended up bringing my pup to and he was like that's absolutely not true- it's mostly a profit push for most vets! Not saying that my dog doesn't need a teeth cleaning, but he won't need one for another 3 years... his teeth are not that bad.
I asked him if he was going to examine my pup's foot, and he goes "what do you think i was just doing?". Well, all you did was touch his paw for a second (literally one second) and wrote something down... so no you did not examine his foot. Any question I asked he would get very annoyed as if I was offending him and he would constantly say that he's been doing this for 40+ years so I shouldn't be questioning him. Also, I read some other reviews saying that the office is creepy, and yeah it totally is. Gave very bad vibes from the start. There are other good vets around LA, spend your money/time somewhere else. Just because you've been doing this for years doesn't mean you're the best one!!

A cute little home hidden in the busy streets of Melrose. My experience was humbling as the vet techs and the veterinarian himself was so kind and loving to my little feline. They took care of him as it was one of their own fury baby. Great pricing for such a great experience. Will be going there from now on.
I had a devastating experience at this clinic that ultimately led to the death of my cat, Boomer.
I brought him in for vomiting on a Saturday night a couple years ago. The vet handled him roughly, used a glass thermometer rectally, and recommended an enema and tooth extraction. After the procedure, I couldn’t reach anyone the next day for an update.
When I visited, his tail was soaking wet and staff were dismissive. When he returned home days later he began leaking black fluid, and the next day I found a large open wound near his anus.
When I returned, the vet blamed me (falsely) for changing his food instead of taking responsibility. A friend with me was shocked by how unprofessional and rough the handling was.
I brought Boomer to VCA Animal Hospitals emergency on Sepulveda, where they determined his colon had been torn during treatment (either due to enema or thermometer), causing a severe infection. Despite surgeries and care, the damage was determined to be irreversible and I had to euthanize him.
VCA vets, based on evidence they collected during their treatments, encouraged me to report this clinic with the vet board. I did—but after two years, it’s still under investigation.
This was a preventable, catastrophic outcome. I strongly urge others to go elsewhere.
Dr. Jordan is a truly a gem. We have moved out of the area and will miss him and his staff. He had a no BS approach to our outdoor cats, combining old school remedies with his long acquired veterinary knowledge. We never got bombarded with promotional emails, just good, compassionate veterinary care.
Wouldn’t recommend this vet at all. Smells like pee inside and just money hungry. I went in for a simple flea & tick medication prescription for my doggo and all the Vet kept talking about was how I should go with him for dental cleanings and to neuter my boy. When I got there, the nurses were also short and curt in all their responses and they took away my dog with no gentleness or even letting me know where theyre taking him and to do what. First of all, he gets regular cleanings elsewhere and why are you pressuring me to neuter my son? These things made me never want to go back already to begin with. Called today to get a renewal on his Simparica Trio medication and they’re telling me he has to come in to be seen AGAIN?? I’ve never dealt with that. Every vet has always just renewed his prescription if he’s been consistently taking it. As soon as I hung up on them, I called and visited another vet and had the best experience ever. This place gives off nothing but judgemental, money hungry and old school vibes.
This clinic has not reached the certification score, and we have no accreditation or service records for it yet.
