Jacksonville Community Pet Clinic - West

I heard that they recently switched ownership, but decided to continue to take my pets there. I booked an appt for a wellness exam for my 9 year old dog at 12:45 on their website. I arrived at 12:55 assuming they had a grace period and also that they took different times for lunch. When I got there they said I had to reschedule because they were about to go to lunch and it wasnt fair to them because they had been working all morning. So you guys were really going to do check in, a wellness exam, vaccines and check out in 15 minutes? They shouldnt have had 12:45 as an appt time which was the only appt time for that day since they dont take walk ins. So I drove there for nothing. I will be taking my business and pets elsewhere.

Very disappointed to be writing this. I have been taking my dogs to this veterinary clinic for several years. When I first started coming here, they were a great and affordable vet that genuinely seemed to care about keeping my dogs happy and healthy. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality of service has gone downhill. During my last visit in February, I was told that one of my three dogs needed dental work and that I would receive a quote for the procedure. The quote was never sent. Over the next three months, I called several times—at least 3 or 4—to request it, but I never received a response or the promised estimate. Eventually, I called again and requested my dog's medical records so I could seek care elsewhere. Ironically, those were sent within 30 seconds. I understand that veterinary offices can be busy, but after asking repeatedly for three months, it became clear that my concerns were not a priority. Based on my recent experiences, I can no longer recommend this clinic. They are no longer as affordable as they once were, and the level of care and customer service that originally brought me here seems to be gone.

They take such great care of my sweet girl. We have tried a few different vets in Jacksonville and I think this will remain our forever vet place. The staff are always kind when you come in and greet you and your animal right away. They listen to your concerns and offer solutions that don't make you feel like you're paying a premium for basic vet care. Its alarming the rate that vet care costs have risen in the last few years as more and more people become dog owners. You should feel like you can take care of your dog without breaking your bank! They make you feel comfortable and your dog cared for.

Have you ever had the feeling of really appreciating a business so much that you almost don't want to give a great review for fear that they would get too busy and not be the same great place? It is this place.

Just a word of caution. If you need to reschedule an appointment call by 9am. They won't tell you this up front. I tried getting through to reschedule an appointment multiple times this morning but I couldn't reach anyone. I am now going to be charged a no show fee before they can reschedule. I tried calling at 10:25am the soonest I could call. They finally did call me back but it was 10 min After the appointment time. They are charging for only one cat so that's helpful at least.
