Yelp
I want to start off by saying, Wow, what an extremely incompetent Vet. I brought my dog here on Saturday, August 1st, for some GI issues he was having. Instead of running a fecal test, they performed a radiology exam, after which they called me to tell me my dog had an enlarged spleen, an 2/3 chance of terminal cancer and needed to do a splenectomy - which they immediately sent me an estimate for $8k.
After a week of stress, tears, multiple vet visits to get second/third opinions, and finally an ultrasound - my dogs spleen is perfectly healthy and they just took a bad x ray (the way my dog was laying during the x ray, his spleen was simply folded over).
Needless to say, this vet had no problem going to the immediate extreme and would have gladly taken my money and removed his perfectly healthy spleen had I taken them for their word.
(Photo of Winston after getting sedated and belly trimmed for his (unnecessary) ultra-sound - all could have been avoided with a little competence)

Yelp
Everything was great. I didnt want to change vets again. I really like her When I ask to get my dog eyes meds. They wanted to use a blue bunny/Wedgewood. For 2 days I ask for them to change it. They could get it done. I dont want to use Blue Bunny. Never got my call back like the lady said she would do. Im not using Blue Bunny.... Sad the paying customer doesnt have a say so... I do I will find another VET... This was an easy fix. Nope it turn into a headache for me. So now Me and Sofia will find the vet who will do what the paying customers said. I call Blue bunny/Wedgewood and ask the to throw that prescription in the trash.... Im not dealing with Blue Bunny and sad they would just call it in. I guess they really dont give a shit if you come back. Vets come and go in Austin. Losing customer and word of mouth really can make or break a business. Will tell all my Bulldog friends of this.... really sad. My Sofia is needing a vet to handle why she is popping blood. Oh well they just lost my trust glad I didnt even open my mouth about this...

Yelp
Overall, our experience with Hanaas Vet was pretty mediocre.
When we first adopted our dog, we brought him in for a wellness exam and blood work. We were told it would only take a few hours, but after dropping him off around 1:00 p.m., we didn't get a call until 5:45 p.m., just before closing. During that time, he had been left in a crate, where he became so distressed that he scraped up his nose and soiled himself. Since he was newly adopted, we didn't yet know he wasn't crate trained. I wish someone had called us during the day instead of leaving him in that situation.
A few months later, a different veteran clinic completed the same type of blood work in about a minute without crating him, which made the difference in experience pretty clear.
We also had issues with prescription management. We were told our dog's prescription would automatically renew each month, but after a couple of months it stopped without notice, and I had to call to have it reapproved. On top of that, the pricing through the clinic was significantly higher than what we were paying through Chewy for the same medication.
Overall, the staff was friendly, but the communication, prescription management, and our dog's experience during his visit left us disappointed.

Had to bring my dog in for an emergency and the treatment from all staff to us and our dog was phenomenal, I couldn't have asked for better. They gave us such hard news with grace and let us know our options while reassuring us there is no judgement on their end.
This clinic has not reached the certification score, and we have no accreditation or service records for it yet.
