Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Dexter went above and beyond to take care of several little problems being experienced by my senior Shih Tzu. She is patient, thorough and great with an explanation. My Bailey and I think she and the crew at Harper Woods Vet are just great. Thanks for today.

HWVH is wonderful! Dr Nancy Pillsbury is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Luc loves her, and the HW staff. Always helpful, always patient. An excellent practice!

Practices with multiple vets and staff are typically more accessible, but this group is the opposite of helpful. Their phone system does not allow callers to speak to anyone, or even to leave a message to call back. My dog is sick and needs to be seen. They apparently expect me to continue calling and calling until someone feels like answering. The bills are so disorganized it looks as if it's intentional. Makes it very difficult to file insurance claims because it is so convoluted. You have to make a nurse appointment (week or more in advance) to have an additional vaccine, for one that should have been grouped at the same appointment. It is a cluster there. Disappointing. I am flabbergasted at how uncaring this group is for their clientele. Never going back.

An incredibly compassionate veterinary team. Andrea was amazing—calm, kind, and incredibly helpful during a very difficult time. We are so grateful for the care this clinic showed our family and for going above and beyond to make a heartbreaking situation as peaceful as possible.

I was bringing my cat and dog here. I probably spent about $3000 in just a few months at this veterinarian, and hundreds more because they are not safe and careless with your pet when it comes to surgeries. They neutered my Great Dane and left him in a cage for 7 hours without allowing him to relieve himself. When I picked him up, they brought him to the lobby where he literally urinated a lake in front of everyone. It was humiliating. THEN, he ended up having a UTI because of bacteria caused by holding in his urine after surgery, which is NOT recommended for this very reason. They literally ignored my dog after the surgery because they were too busy. The drugs they charged me for (expensive) did not work. He peed all over my home for months. They charged me for the urine sample ($80) plus more drugs ($300+) and he still is not cured. DO NOT GO HERE
