Elm Creek Animal Hospital

A few weeks ago I tried to bring in one of my new born Crogi’s that was having trouble breathing. Lady took one look at me and told me they were appointments only. Didn’t even bother to help my dog. Ok. So I rushed out and took my dog to city vet up the street and they treated it like an emergency (as they should have) got me back immediately in the middle of having other appointments and got my dog the medication she desperately needed to stay alive. There is a big difference between actually caring and being in it for the money. You guys made it very clear you don’t care. My dogs will never go to you again. Horrible and sad.

Amazing staff that truly care about animals! Any questions I've asked have been met with clear answers and full transparency. Their prices are better than any other vet in town and they've always been able to get us on the schedule ASAP. Your loved pets are in good hands with them!

I want to preface this by saying at no point did I feel like my cats were being treated poorly or abused by staff, they are very very kind people and I know they meant well. My cats are high anxiety, and one of them definitely needs sedation, I’m not under any impression that she doesn’t. But my other cat, who doesn’t like the vet but has tolerated it in the past, was so stressed everytime we went and it was getting worse. I kept being told things that I should be doing differently, and I understand there is always something more to be done to calm them beforehand. What I noticed is that by the end the approach wasn’t changed, the attitude by staff was to grab them and hope for the best. Cats are so sensitive, and I’ve seen other vets handle my calmer cat differently. By the end it seemed like they were fed up with my cats, wouldn’t attempt a more gentle approach and would only suggest sedation, which only stressed the cats out more. I felt as if they were trying to get rid of them as patients, whether that was the intention or not., I just got done at a new vet, and my calmer cat did so well, no sedation, she even made a friend with the staff. Moral of the story, This may not be the place for high stress cats. Again at no point did I feel they were being abused and the staff is very kind, this has just been my experience.

Dr. Owens and his staff are friendly and kind. We take our three cats here and would definitely recommend them. Plus for Vday, they had an adorable kissing booth to take pics in!

I somehow left a review on a different yelp account??? Anyway I'm doing it again from My actual account... All of my fur babies see Dr. Jeff Owens (7 fur babies now). I recommend that all of my friends and clients bring their babies here. Dr. Owens is so smart and knowledgeable! He also seems to understand that quality at a conservative price can go hand in hand with care and genuine concern for the health of my animals. LOVE LOVE LOVE Elm Creek Animal Hospital
