They say "best in El Paso", but in honesty, they are probably one of the WORST clinics in El Paso. To start off, they have really awful customer service. It was extremely hard to even get a hold of anyone to make an appointment. I was on hold to talk to someone for 30 minutes.
On my appointment date, I dropped off my kitten early in the morning to get spayed. My Persian kitten was perfectly healthy. She was playful, eating and drinking fine, normal bowel movements, and overall just looked healthy. However, I didn't get a call until late afternoon that day and they told me they couldn't go through with the surgery because they believe she was "sick". They said her eyes looked red, watery, and puffy. But like I said, when I dropped her off that morning she looked perfectly healthy. They wouldn't even give me any exam/screening results or proof of why they believe she was "sick". So they made me pay extra for a "sick exam" and to give her antibiotics. When I went to go pick her up, they purposely took a long time to release her even after I've paid for all extra charges. I even told them I was in a time crunch because I had to pick up my children from school and they still took their time. The staff didn't show any care or urgency in the matter and they were not even busy at the time I was there. When I finally saw my kitten, she still looked healthy. Her eyes were not puffy, watery, or red like they had stated over the phone. I believe they scammed me for more money and they just didn't want to do the surgery that day. I honestly would not recommend anyone to come here. They seem like a clinic that likes to scam customers for money and take advantage of fur parents love for their fur babies. They are definitely over-charging for animal care and lying to get more money out of you.
I wouldn’t recommend taking your pet here.
everything feels financial, not genuine. the doctors are cold, techs are nice. they charged us for a medicine they never gave us because it had to be crushed, so that’s already unacceptable. it also feels they add unnecessary treatments, they should explain why the treatment is being added. (but they’re money hungry)
one of the doctors also made a very rude statement, he compared our situation saying “well car accidents also happen in seconds”?? like yeah i wanna hear that thanks.
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this clinic. The lack of communication and transparency especially regarding prescriptions, felt very shady and unprofessional. After my dog was diagnosed and prescribed a specific diet, I tried to get the necessary prescription information so I could actually purchase the food. I repeatedly called the clinic, only to be placed on hold multiple times and told the pharmacist was unavailable. I was assured I would receive a call back, but that never happened. Out of frustration, I contacted another veterinary clinic, TLC Veterinary Clinic, and they helped me immediately without any issues. The difference in professionalism and responsiveness was night and day. On top of that, the visit itself was extremely expensive. Considering the cost and the long wait time, I honestly believe I would have been better off going to an emergency vet for similar pricing, especially since I was ultimately told that might be my best option anyway, given they were about to close and didn’t even have what they had recommended available at the time. Because of this experience, I have completely transferred my pet’s care to TLC. They have been incredibly kind, efficient, and professional. The waiting times are short, the staff is responsive, and the doctors are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. It’s everything I expected from a veterinary clinic but did not receive here. The doctor at this clinic may have been kind, but the overall system, especially the pharmacy side, is incredibly disorganized and unreliable. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of care and communication from this clinic, particularly the pharmacy side.
My dog was recently diagnosed with severe pancreatitis, experiencing vomiting and even bloody diarrhea. The veterinarian was kind and professional, and I appreciate the care provided during the visit. However, we waited over three hours just to be seen.
After the visit, I went to PetSmart to purchase the prescribed low-fat diet, only to be told I could not buy it without an RX authorization number from the clinic. This is something that should have been clearly provided at discharge or made easily accessible.
What followed was extremely frustrating. I spent the entire day trying to contact the clinic just to get this simple RX number. I was placed on hold for long periods (over 20 minutes at one point), had to call multiple times, and was eventually told the pharmacist had stepped out and would call me back. It has now been over 30 minutes with no response, and nothing has been updated in the online portal.
Meanwhile, my dog, who is already very sick, has essentially gone without the appropriate food she urgently needs.
I really want to emphasize that while the doctor was kind, the pharmacy side of this clinic was completely unacceptable. The lack of urgency, poor communication, and failure to provide something as basic as an RX number showed a serious breakdown in care. This could have easily been avoided.
Overall, this experience has been stressful, disorganized, and incredibly disappointing. When a pet is in a serious medical condition, this level of inefficiency and lack of follow-through is simply not okay.
This clinic has not reached the certification score, and we have no accreditation or service records for it yet.
