After a divorce and a move Luna hadn’t been to the vet in a while. She didn’t feel good either. The vet and the tech moved slow and compassionately to ease Lunas nerves. Due to my line of questioning during the visit they clued in on the fact that finances were a concern. They were direct and specific when it came to pricing and gave options that worked with our budget.
Dr. Lexi Campbell and her technician assistant (I am so sorry, I forgot her name, but she is a beautiful woman with dark purple hair that was in braided pigtails) were WONDERFUL practitioners. Very knowledgeable and they had excellent bedside manners. Jordyn at the front desk was also extremely helpful and patient in checking in/out and scheduling my next appointment. All of these ladies kick butt, they're awesome!
From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place runs on something rare: genuine care.
I’ve been bringing my dog Mars here for just under two years now, and I’m in regularly—even for simple things like biweekly weigh-ins—so I’ve seen how this team operates over time, not just in a single visit.
The front desk is kind, attentive, and organized. Everything is handled smoothly, and you feel taken care of without anything feeling forced or scripted.
The vet techs are just as impressive—calm, knowledgeable, and incredibly gentle with the animals. You can see how intentional they are in the way they handle each pet, adjusting to keep them comfortable and at ease. It’s clear the entire staff truly loves animals, and that comes through in every interaction.
And then there’s Dr. Emily Wechter.
She takes everything to another level. Her compassion is real and consistent, backed by strong clinical skill. She takes the time to explain things clearly, answers questions without rushing, and treats every animal like it’s her own.
My dog Mars is a service animal trained through Canine Companions, and that makes his care especially important. He’s not just a pet—he’s a critical part of my daily life. Dr. Wechter understands that immediately and treats him with the respect, attentiveness, and priority that role deserves. That level of understanding isn’t something I take lightly.
This entire clinic—from front desk to techs to Dr. Wechter—operates like a team that genuinely cares about animals and the people who depend on them.
When it comes to Mars, I don’t compromise—and with this team, I don’t have to.
Everyone at Cheyenne Mountain Animal Hospital goes out of their way to ensure every visit is a safe and a positive experience. The veterinarian and staff are always kind, professional and caring. The veterinarian and staff take their time with each patient, explaining up front all of the pricing and procedures, with options, so they offer fully everything your pet needs, with consideration to a budget, which is very helpful. I trust them completely with the care of my pets.
My beloved tripawd injured her one back leg and Dr. Schilling took her time to do a rigorous exam on her. Dr. Schilling was patient, thorough, compassionate, and sincerely kind. I am so grateful for Cheyenne mountain animal hospital. I have had great experiences for the past four years with them.
