Cherokee Animal Clinic

My fur-son needed a new vet so I chose Cherokee because of location and high reviews. The staff was wonderful! Everyone had a great attitude and they were so kind and sweet to my Linky boy. Prices seemed fair in my opinion. Didn't have to wait long. Glad I chose Cherokee for his new vet.

They saved my Lil pup, he ended up getting parvo, and they was soo good to him, it was expensive. But they helped me find rebates that helped cover the shot. You can just tell they love animals, I couldnt ask for a better veterinary clinic. Ive been with them for several years now with my older dog,

Writing a quick update to shout out our great vet office once again! We had to visit the Cherokee Animal Clinic twice recently -- to get our Boston terrier/pug, Millie, her annual shots and check up and when she got a bad stomach bug that lasted for a few days. We were able to get visits scheduled pretty quickly -- for the next day in the case of the stomach bug. We never have to wait long to be seen once we arrive, and the staff shows Millie genuine affection and care. On our most recent visit, she snuggled up with the nurse a bit when the vet was looking her over. I trust them when they say if something is worth another look. And everything they have prescribed has always worked. After taking some medicine and changing her food for a few days -- as well as refraining from giving her any more pork products; our bad! -- Millie is now doing much better. We were lucky to have found a vet office that we trust so much.

I’m not very good with English vocabulary, and they didn’t even have the patience to let me finish speaking. I simply called to ask if they could help me get a prescription for Heartgard and Nexgard for my dog. The person who answered the phone had absolutely no patience. She asked me if my dog had any significant illnesses. I said no, I just wanted a prescription for preventive medication. She impatiently interrupted me and asked if my dog had ever had a diagnosis at their hospital. I said no, but asked if I could start a new one. She then asked if I had a regular veterinarian. I didn’t understand what “regular veterinarian” meant, so I said I had previously gotten the same prescription from another clinic. Then she very impatiently threw out, “Then go to your previous hospital,” as if I owed her a huge debt (just a figure of speech to describe how I felt — not literally). Such an impatient receptionist, unwilling to communicate with clients, makes me seriously doubt whether this hospital truly treats its customers with a professional attitude. I would never choose this hospital. All I felt was an angry sense of discrimination.

I can't speak to the care as my pet was never seen. I ended up leaving because I'd been sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes past my appointment time and was told they didn't know how long it would take to be seen because they were doing an X-ray on the patient before me. They also had a lot of details wrong from my initial call. The office is outdated and situated on an awkward, busy corner that makes it difficult to get to. Apparently they only have one exam room and vet, so only one patient can be seen at a time.
