2 stars because the staff is nice and the office and rooms are clean. I didn't give 5 stars because I came to the vet due to my dog being diagnosed with cancer from his regular vet. AI recommended Cahuenga and stated it's more affordable and handles cancer patients. Went for the first appt and they recommended a urine test and ultrasound. Had the ultrasound done. My dog had to fast for the ultrasound. I sent him to the ultrasound with his medicine and stated he needed it early morning but I hadn't given it to him due to fasting. I pick him up in afternoon, asked if they gave him his medicine, and they said no. I asked the tech and he says maybe because my dog hasn't eaten. I wish they called me about it. Then the next day I take him in for the urine test. The results came in on a Wednesday and I needed the results for an appt he had at a cancer specialty group on a Friday. They wouldn't release the records until the doctor reviewed them . Doctor reviewed them Thursday morning and in the test results (via email) the doctor recommended chemo. Friday I spoke with Cahuenga and ask if the doctor is going to call me with next steps? I was told they would have to check and to let them know what the cancer group says. I thought it was weird that they would rely on what another vet would say. I just said okay. The cancer group sends the appointment notes to cahuenga.. and guess what ... weeks later I haven't heard from Cahuenga. Meanwhile my dog has died. I feel like my dog was forgotten about and I feel like as a cancer patient , the situation should've been handled better.

I've only truly loved two veterinary hospitals in my life, and Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital is one of them. When our newly adopted kitten was diagnosed with FIP, we were devastated. The team at CVH guided us through one of the most stressful experiences we've had as pet owners. They carefully managed the necessary testing, medications, and expenses with both professionalism and compassion. Thanks to their excellent care, our kitten is now nearly two years old and has remained in FIP remission ever since. Beyond their medical expertise, their communication, scheduling, and genuine empathy are exceptional. Every interaction has made us feel like our pets--and our concerns--truly matter. Most recently, we accidentally showed up on the wrong day for an appointment. Even though the mistake was completely ours, the staff still went out of their way to try to accommodate us. That level of kindness and customer service is rare. I also want to mention that we used Fetch Pet Insurance during our kitten's FIP treatment, and it was invaluable in helping cover the significant costs of care. While that's separate from the hospital itself, it made an incredibly difficult situation much more manageable. I recommend Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital without hesitation. If you're looking for a veterinary team that combines outstanding medical care with genuine compassion, this is the place.

First day at CVH and I really like the team here. Admin staff are professional, kind and efficient. We saw Dr.Lauren and she was excellent, she gave our pup a thorough exam and took great care to review her history and work around her epilepsy. Great energy from the team top to bottom. The clinic was busy, and it's easy to see why. I'm happy we have this team in our neighborhood.

I called at 5:45 trying to get my dogs prescription refilled at a new pharmacy and he desperately needed his meds. I get put on hold for almost ten minutes then disconnected. I try calling back at 5:55 and they already set it to voicemail. Terrible. It says you’re open to 6, I get you want to get out as fast as possible but people pets are depending on you to be there when your hours say you will.
