Dr. Brown needs more experience with IVDD cases. My dog had an IVDD flare-up, and this is not his first one. I specifically asked for pain and anti-inflammatory medication, but she only gave him pain medication and muscle relaxers. She recommended a catheter and methocarbamol injection, even though he already takes methocarbamol tablets. My dog was in severe pain and needed stronger pain medication and an anti-inflammatory. I went back twice, but he still didn't receive the medication he needed. She also lied to me when I returned the next day, telling me she would give my dog a steroid, but she didn't. I had to take him to another emergency vet, where they finally gave him the appropriate medication. I'm very upset and disappointed with how this was handled.
First time customer from yesterday. I brought my dog Lola Mae in for an urgent ear issue. Actually, I called first, spoke to Aleisha who was SO kind and caring, and she said that I could bring her in. Since I live only 5 minutes away, I was able to drop her off instead of waiting and that was so convenient and I was grateful I was able to do that. The initial account setup was a breeze. Not a gazillion questions as I had expected. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to set up my account. When I dropped her off, Aleisha was very transparent about the entire process and what to expect. I sat down and waited for a vet tech to come out and assess Lola Mae's condition, she then took her back and I left. I got a call less than 2 hours later and spoke to the sweetest doctor ever - Dr. Berman. She spoke with me for 15 minutes. I didn't feel rushed. I was thanked for asking questions. I was comforted when she said that she promised Lola Mae would not be hurt during the time she was being examined and cared for by the vet team. I was provided with a straightforward explanation of Lola Mae's diagnosis and a well structured plan of the steps I need to take to ensure she gets better as well as some suggestions for further dermatology assessments. When I came to pick her up, I was greeted by Aleisha again and then handed over to Danna who went over the medications and treatment plan. Danna was also very kind, let me ask a bunch of questions and she also mentioned that the entire office loved Lola Mae during her time there. I even noticed that the people I did not interact with, were nice to others in the office and seemed happy to be working there which is another calming feature for a veterinarian office. So, you can't ask for anything better than this in my opinion. The front office is so cute too, although it is a bit cramped. But the bright animal artwork made up for that... Highly recommend Burbank Animal Urgent Care based on my visit from yesterday. (Pictures included for cuteness).
I can't thank the entire team enough for the amazing care they gave my Frenchie, Gordis. From the moment we walked in, everyone treated her with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They took the time to explain her injury, the surgery, and what to expect during her recovery, which gave me so much peace of mind during a very stressful time. The doctors and staff truly cared about Gordis and treated her as if she were their own. They were patient with all of my questions and made sure I felt informed every step of the way. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, Gordis is recovering well, and I couldn't be more grateful. I highly recommend this veterinary team to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy care for their pets. Thank you for giving my sweet girl the best care possible!
Animal Urgent Care in Burbank is now my first choice for canine urgent care needs! We had a medical emergency with my senior golden, and the team was incredible, clear, and kind. Dr. Berman was compassionate and took time to walk me through the situation and also connected us with an animal hospital for our next-level needs. Our day did not end as I had hoped, as we ultimately had to say goodbye to our eldest golden girl, but it gives me immense peace to know she was provided the best care and the most love on her final day. Tearful and grateful.
The folks here are absolutely spectacular and so very kind. They’ve taken care of my old arthritic, skittish dog on several occasions, are so communicative, and carefully explain the treatment plan and all the options, which shows an incredible amount of patience. Really can’t praise them enough. A special thanks to Jamie, Andrea, and Dr. Geiger, who saw my dog quickly yesterday and made her (and me) feel infinitely better. Truly fantastic place.
