We switched to Animal Clinic of Honolulu around four years ago, after extensively checking out several vet recommendations from friends and colleagues. The clinic is open 6 days out of 7 (closed Sundays), is conveniently located on Koko Head Ave., not far from Kaimuki Library, has dedicated parking, is clean, and the staff friendly and efficient. We've seen three of the vets on staff: Dr. Leara, Dr. Kunimoto, and Dr. Ogasawara, and they and their vet techs have been extremely gentle, kind, and professional in caring for our cat. They're great about communicating what vaccinations and services are needed and up front about costs. When our cat was injured, Dr. Leara called up to check on how she was doing. The clinic offers boarding services. This past spring, our cat stayed there for 10 days, and the staff sent us occasional updates and pics as to how our kitty was doing: a major relief to know she was in good hands! If you use the clinic's PetDesk app, you can set up appointments, see what's needed for your pet's upcoming visits, contact the staff, and order food and meds, if you wish. Warmly recommended!
