Abby Pet Hospital

I used to go to Abby about 20 years ago when it was actually on North Abby and haven't visited them since they moved. Took my huge dog in for a general checkup and to find out about sedating him to clip his nails. The groomer came back with the $220 estimate but offered to try and clip his nails without sedation. I said go for it. 10 minutes later he was back with short nails and seemed to have a little more pep in his step and I saved about $190. The tech, the vet, the groomer and front desk employees were all great. It was a great experience and I will take my other 2 dogs there when necessary.

The veterinarians are good and caring professionals. Unfortunately it's like pulling teeth to get a timely appt. There are so many doctors there but you can't get in with any of them. On 07/27/2026 there was only one Vet working that afternoon and my 15 year old needed to be seen ASAP. No luck. What's the use of having a veterinarian if you can't get an appt. They've gotten too big. I felt dismissed by staff.

They were the only vet that could respond to me and this feral momma cats need immediately! And they did it with great care and sensitivity at a price far less than I expected. They are an amazing pet hospital.

Unfortunately I cannot give better stars. The doctor was very nice however we were not given adequate information to make our own informed decision. We brought my daughter's leopard gecko here for an abscess on its eye. We were given an estimate that we believed to be an all in price for fixing the gecko. My husband requested at this time to get the all in price. We came back after they did the diagnostics which was $350. It was my daughter and husband's understanding that was the all in price because that is what was requested. When we came back we got the quote for the fixing part of the problem which ranged from an additional $750-$1,600. Therefore the cheapest fix was over $1k which we could not afford. My daughter made the difficult choice to euthanize the gecko. We ended up leaving paying $459 when if we had the information needed we would have gotten out for $159. They knew before diagnostics that the gecko would need additional work and didn't let us know ahead of time. Nice apology for the loss of the pet but no apology for the lack of communication.

Amazing place to take your fur babies! Was able to make a same day walk in appointment and they had an opening within the hour. Only $65 for the general exam is great! I spent only $130 for my cat to get looked at and prescribed antibiotics. Staff is great and explains things super clearly! Thor and I are grateful, thank you!
