The kennel is under new ownership, but the team is clearly experienced with the breeding, care, knowledge and extra love the pups need. The facilities are clean and sprawling with tons of outdoor spaces. A huge thank you to Kyanne, Robby and the entire Umpqua Kennels team! Maverick (fka Louie) is such a healthy, sweet, smart, goofy, well behaved boy! 🥰

We had been looking for a breeder for a long time knowing there are A LOT of unethical breeders out there. We came across breeders who wouldn’t let us meet the puppies or see the breeding facilities (I understand that there have been incidents of theft). We also came across breeders who didn’t have the breed’s health as their first priority. It seemed more about money and not so much about the care for the breed and breeding healthy puppies. Then we found Umpqua Valley Kennels. Here are some key points I found to be important and unique about Umpqua: 1. Their website has extensive information about the breed and a puppy handbook. Yes it’s a lot of reading but it’s important to know everything about the breed before adopting a Frenchie. 2. They have 24/7 puppy cams so you can view their puppies at anytime. 3. The breeder allows you to come view the property and see all of the dams, sires, and puppies. You must wash your hands and disinfect your shoes first. 4. They don’t accept deposits without you viewing the puppies and talking with the breeder first. 5. The have health and DNA tests of every dam and sire are on their website. 6. The owner lets you sit and play with the puppy you’re interested in before purchasing. 7. They don’t breed mini Frenchies or fashion colors. 8. When I emailed the owner (Victor) about a question I had about my boy, he called me that day and we talked it over. We purchased our boy in July of 2024. We watched on the puppy cams and saw videos of him before adopting him. He was 17 weeks when we adopted him. Here are the wonderful things about our Frenchie: 1. Potty training was easy and quick. 2. He sleeps in his kennel with zero complaints and loves to sleep in. 3. He is super smart and laid back. 4. He is very social and loves all people and animals. Especially dogs. 5. He only barks when he is startled and it’s only a few quick barks and he’s done. 6. He’s done well with training (except for leash training and that’s our fault for not starting it soon enough). 7. He loves to cuddle and snuggle. 8. He hasn’t had any skin or ear issues unless he has beef. 9. His gas has been controlled with diet and probiotics. 10. He doesn’t chew apart toys or shoes or furniture. Just paper and cardboard. 11. We can leave him out of his kennel when we leave the house and he’s perfectly content. 12. He loves to play and go for nature walks. Then he’s tired and wants to sit with us on the couch. 13. He has great nares and breathes well. 14. He’s bigger with longer legs and currently weighs 35 lbs at 9 months. 15. He’s GREAT with kids of all ages. 16. He was free fed before we got him so he doesn’t inhale his food like he’s starving. We leave out food all day and he grazes when he feels hungry. 17. He’s good with having his nails clipped, bathing, teeth brushing, face cleaning, etc. 18. He’s super quiet and infrequently whines or cries. 19. He does very well at the vet with vaccinations and new people. Overall he is the best dog and we will be adopting another one from UVK this spring. I love our boy and I wouldn’t adopt from anyone else. Thank you Victor!

We did our research before choosing Umpqua Valley Kennel for our puppy. Mary and Vic were so helpful and caring, there was never any problems during the process, unless you want to count getting addicted to the puppy cams. We initially picked out our beautiful puppy the very day she was born and as I said, I or shall I say we got addicted to watching the puppies on the puppy cams and fell in love with the other female in the litter and purchased her also. We can not imagine not having the both of them. We get hours of fun and entertainment. So if you are looking for a quality breeder of French Bulldogs, Umpqua Valley Kennel is the place. They have the best quality breeding dogs, and you can take it from me, Mary and Vic know each and every dog at their facility intimately and love each and every one of them. We simply could not be happier with our decision to get our puppies from them.

Victor made the visit a very pleasant experience, smooth and seamless. We've had our puppies home for two weeks now and they are wonderful little puppies with great temperaments and ready to train. They are keeping us nice and busy, we are very happy we chose Umpqua Valley Kennels this time around.

We deliberated for years over when would be a good time to get another French Bulldog and so we signed up for their newsletter and researched their website - so much great information there. Our decision to work with Umpqua Valley Kennels has been wonderful. We love our Mabel and our experience with Vic and Mary! It was exciting to watch her grow up on the puppy cams and watch the puppy video. Our in-person visit was amazing too, such a great facility and great attention to cleanliness and care for all their beautiful French Bulldogs. You can tell they are loved and well cared for. Our puppy was already so well socialized and happy and confident - she's been a joy! I certainly recommend Umpqua Valley Kennels if you are looking for a healthy French Bulldog.
