I adopted Sir Gary James Van Halen of Silver Birch from Lisa Terry's Silver Birch Labrador Retrievers. He came home litter box trained and had manding/sit down pat. Gary's recall memory is amazing and I'd swear he belongs to Mensa Society of Highly Intelligent K9s. Lisa checks in on Gary to see how he's doing and takes all my calls about his health, diet, exercise and vet visits. She is a very involved breeder that loves her pups and really cares about how they are doing long after they've gone home to their new families. I couldn't be happier with my boy Gary and I'm so thankful I met Lisa Terry.

We got our yellow lab Millie 8 months now, in December she was about 9 weeks , From birth was raised in a way that helped prepare her for training. she’s an amazing happy & healthy puppy! Lisa, was outstanding with answering any and all of our questions or concerns she takes amazing care and loves her dogs and the puppies she cares for.

We bought our Lucy from Lisa 4 months ago and we couldn’t be more pleased. This is my 5th lab in 20 years (We like having 2 or 3 at a time). She is adorable and quite a beauty. She has fit so well into our household which includes a 4 yo male. Lisa is always available to talk and answer questions and we love sharing pics of Lucy and Linus with her. She flew her to Cali for us and even brought a blanket from home for her to help her adjustment. She is by far the most knowledgeable and friendly Breeder I have dealt with. Thanks Lisa and fam!!!

I purchased my Black Lab, Pearl, from Lisa of Silver Birch Labs in 2013 after interviewing and visiting several other local (& some not local) breeders. In the process I learned that there are some really good breeders, some average breeders and some not so good. What impressed me from the start about Lisa and Silver Birch was how caring and knowledgeable she was and how well she treated her dogs and their litters. The effort she puts into selecting a healthy sire and dam for breeding is exhaustive and the testing she insists upon prior to breeding them is extremely stringent. She does all possible to weed out any genetic disposition for health issues, bone defects, and any other adverse traits. After they are whelped she takes each pup to the vet for a thorough check up and inoculations to insure that she is only breeding the best, healthiest pups possible. Also impressive is the fact that she doesn't use kennels, as do many breeders. Each pup is brought up as a member of her family, with full house privileges, so that when they finally go to their furever home they are already on their way to being socialized and normally get along well with people, children and other animals. And..., it doesn't stop there. Lisa has demonstrated that she truly cares for the well being of each and every dog she places with a family, and the family itself, and is always available to ask questions of. has proven that she doesn't just "talk the talk" she really "walks the walk". Upon occasion over the years I have needed advice regarding feeding, training, health, etc. and Lisa has always been right there with the correct answers. Sometimes it seems that she may be more knowledgeable then some vets I've used in the past. I have gotten dogs from rescues and breeders over the years but, should I ever find myself in the position of adding to my pack, there is no question that Lisa would be my breeder of choice.

Lisa is amazing! My husband and I are first time dog owners and she is so knowledgeable and a great resource whether it’s your first puppy or not. My puppy Padfoot has been the sweetest most loving little lab, and I know it’s because of how the breeding is done at Silver Birch. They have well behaved dogs with a great temperament that are selected to have a litter, and Lisa works with the puppies daily from a young age to set them up to be the best dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, playful pup, I would 100% recommend checking them out!
