I can say only the most positive things of Katherine and Saxbell Dobermans! We have shared our lives and love with Dobermans for 34 years. We lost our 12 year old litter-mates late fall, '25. Our house was suddenly empty. After searching for breeders and researching their practices, I reached out to Katherine of Saxbell Dobermans. Katherine was prompt with answering my initial email. I was taken by surprise and she warmed my heart with the empathy she expressed and extended with the loss of our pups. She then proceeded in answering our many questions. We had owned only of the American line before. She shared her knowledge of the breed, the differences between the American and European lines, the working and the show pups. Katherine provided the health history and records of her breeding pups and expressed her dedication to ensuring and maintaining guidelines of the best practices for longevity of the breed. We immediately requested to be on her waiting list for one of her puppies. Winter stretched long and our house was deafeningly quiet. Her January litter arrived, but all pups were spoken for. We'd be moved to her next litter. The waiting seemed endless. An unfortunate life event/circumstance, not allowing the most opportune time for a puppy adoption occurred. I'm sorry for that family for that to have happened, but it's one more example of Katherine's genuine care for her puppies and their forever families. She'd work with that family. We then adopted the little black female, our "meant to be puppy". Living only an hour away, Katherine allowed us to set up a visit with the puppies before bringing our girl home. I was in puppy heaven! Her puppy litters are raised within her home where she and her dogs reside. Crate and potty training were both initiated before we brought her home. Katherine provided a blanket filled with Mama and litter smells and the recommendation of a "Snuggle Puppy". I highly recommend those two additions to your home crate. Heidi slept the night thru, wakening at her "then usual" feeding time. Two of our previous Dobermans had been cropped. Our last two, we left their ears natural. We wanted this puppy to look her regal part. We had her ears cropped. The Vet, who Katherine works closely with, did an exceptional job. Katherine provided the aftercare cropping instructions and recommended u-tube sites for posting insight. (There was also a video there she had posted years ago.) Our entire experience with Katherine has been positively amazing! Our puppy came home in March. Our house is once again a home. We get to share our love and lives with this sweet, amazing pup! She is a well tempered, intelligent, beautiful bundle of joy. We can't thank Katherine enough for the opportunity she has provided and has shared with us. Anyone wanting to share their love and lives with this exceptional breed, I highly recommend you work with Saxbell Dobermans. You will receive the best pup you can imagine. Below is a picture of our Heidi at six months of age. My husband and I are thrilled with our beautiful pup!

I recently purchased a Doberman puppy from Kathy and it was a great experience from start to finish. My puppy is awesome. I was originally drawn to her because of her love of the breed and her dedication to health testing. I was able to communicate with her prior to the puppies being born all the way through the time I picked mine up. Communication was great from start to finish as well as after I brought my puppy home. She is knowledgeable and genuinely loves the breed. She took exceptional care of the puppies. If you are considering a Doberman puppy I would recommend that you talk to her.

We got our first Doberman through Kathy and will certainly be going back to her for our next! I searched for quite a bit for a trustworthy and responsible breeder before I came across Kathy. She is so knowledgeable about the breed, their health and their temperament, I have so much peace of mind knowing our boy will grow up to be amazing. Jack is so sweet, intelligent, healthy and happy, we couldn’t be more pleased with him. When we went to pick him up she gave us all the time we needed to find the puppy that fit us. Kathy is amazing and so are her dogs, highly recommend anyone who wants a healthy, smart and beautiful Doberman to go to her!

If you're looking for a reputable European Doberman breeder Saxbell Dobermans is it. We couldn't be happy with our puppy. We brought her home at 5 months old. She has the sweetest personality. Our children absolutely adore her, and she loves them. Kathy has continued to be helpful with any questions we've had along the way. If you're looking for a healthy puppy with a great temperament, I highly recommend Saxbell Dobermans!

Professional, responsible, thorough, incredibly passionate and knowledgeable! Saxbell Dobermans will not disappoint. Kathy is very responsive and helpful with any questions, and happy to share her expertise. We have had such a wonderful experience and love our girl Esther Rose, and she is great friends with our Labrador Daphne. Esther comes to work at our General Store everyday. She's a beauty. Thank you Saxbell Dobermans!
