Brenda and her program at Run Down Ranch are absolutely top notch. We reached out to Brenda months before our litter was planned, to let her know exactly what we were looking for in our pup. Brenda kept us informed through the whole process, allowed us to be as involved as we desired, and delivered us an amazing puppy that fit our family perfectly. The time that Brenda puts into socializing the litter was evident from the first time we came down to visit our boy at 5 weeks. He was confident, curious, and unphased by new surroundings and loud noises. When we took him home a few weeks later, those skills were significantly more developed and proved to be a great foundation to train from. He was eager to learn and extremely receptive to training. We have adopted heelers from breeders in the past, so I can say without a doubt that Run Down Ranch was a significant step up. If you’re looking for a quality heeler breeder, I couldn’t recommend them enough!

My overall grade for Rundown Ranch Cattle Dogs is: A+ Brenda & Jim are wonderful people and certainly know their cattle dogs We ended up getting Levi last month and the pup has been terrific and of course, a handful. Brenda’s knowledge of diet & vaccines and how they affect the breed is great. They are registered with the AKC and do a fantastic job. If you’re interested in Heelers, go visit them. You will love the dogs.

We had an amazing experience with Rundown Ranch Cattle Dogs, and we truly can’t say enough good things about Brenda. Before Pablo, we had a very energetic Mini Australian Shepherd named Romina. After some time, we thought about getting a brother for her, and we knew we needed a breed that could truly match her energy. After researching breeders, Rundown Ranch Cattle Dogs checked every box for us when it came to responsible and thoughtful breeding. From the moment we connected with Brenda, we knew we were in the right place. She took the time to understand what we were looking for and clearly explained the entire process. She had us complete an application, which immediately gave us confidence. It was clear she genuinely cares about where her puppies go and the lifestyle they’ll have. Throughout the entire journey, Brenda was in constant communication. She shares regular updates on social media from the pregnancy through birth, including how many puppies to expect, and once the puppies arrive, which truly makes you feel part of the process. We ended up choosing the very last puppy and named him Pablo, in honor of our previous dog, Paulie, who is no longer with us. Brenda was incredibly transparent every step of the way, explaining genetics, sharing details about the parents, handling all early medical care, and providing thorough documentation. She conducts hearing and vision testing and starts crate training puppy training, which is truly appreciated! Brenda even started calling Pablo by his name from the moment he was born, so by the time we picked him up, he already responded to it. Brenda went above and beyond by accommodating special requests, including mailing us a blanket with Pablo’s scent so Romina could begin getting familiar with him. Pickup day was smooth and relaxed. We met the entire litter, spent time with them, and Brenda patiently answered all our questions. Even after bringing Pablo home, Brenda has remained in constant contact, offering guidance on nutrition , training, and anything that comes up. About six months later, we stopped by so Pablo could reunite with his parents and siblings. Watching Pablo reconnect with his family was one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve had. Brenda is Exceptional, Knoweledgeable and amazing! Her dogs are healthy, smart and started off with a good foundation before they ever go home!
