Jayne and crew were so kind and helpful throughout the process of finding the right pup for our family. She welcomed us to her property to see the dogs multiple times, to make sure we found the one. Couldnt recommend them enough. If you are in the market for a GSD, dont waste your time anywhere else, this is the place. Our sweet Greta has been home a month now, and has been amazing in every way.

I truly can't say enough positive things about Jayne and Rocky Mountain GSD. I am from NM and my in-laws were planning to drive up to meet/bring home our puppy (because of last minute work complications on my end). Jayne was incredibly responsive via text message and phone, and very accommodating and understanding. We had previously sent photos of our recently dearly departed GSD and explained to her what we were looking for in a dog; she showed us several dogs that would meet our expectations before we decided on our Moose. My in-laws showed up and thought it was a great location, plenty of space, clean and well taken care of just like the dogs. She put together a lovely binder full of information on Moose's vaccines, deworming, AKC info, breed info, training info, and more. We ended up coming home with a bag, leash, collar, food for a week, some toys, a blanket that smells like mom, and more. It is SO CLEAR that Jayne loves her dogs like family and wants them to go to a home that loves them just as much. I was blown away by the level of care she shows for her puppies. Moose has been home for a little over a week now and he is such a beautiful dog, inside and out. He is confident, curious, playful, loving, and healthy. We could not be happier. Thank you for taking care of our baby and in turn, taking care of us. It has been a painful mourning period after losing our 13 year old GSD and you made this such a pleasant, warm, joyful experience. We are grateful!

I dont really think Jayne and the family realize just how great they are. We are adopting our new pup. They spent tons of time with us were very friendly. Very knowledgeable, I cannot express how awesome they are. If you do service dogs PD dogs are a municipality or are just looking for your own pup. Go see them the drive up is awesome as well. If you need training help they can assist as well in all aspects. These are some of the most well cared for animals I have ever seen. Pricing is very fair for the breed. They are family owned and have been around a very very long time. Send them a message they will get back to you keep in mind its a small business and the animals keep them busy. When you visit they will spend the time explaining everything.

Jane, Taylor, Steve and all the folks at RMGS are amazing! We got our beautiful girl Rosi from them and have taken her there for training. The whole team is patient and professional. Rosi is a strong, dominant, protector, yet under control thanks to RMGS.

The training was wonderful! We felt like we tried EVERYTHING with our 1 year old GSD. We went through PetsMart training and had a private trainer come into our home to work with our Boji, but she didn’t seem to be making the progress we wanted and things were beginning to become very challenging and frustrating. My husband and I are both very busy professionals, so consistency was always a challenge when it came to keeping up with her anxious/poor behavior that was a result of both mine and her frustration. We ultimately were at a last resort, either try this training or we were going to have to consider re-homing her (which we absolutely did not want to do). After doing some research, I found Rocky Mountain German Shepherds in Conifer, CO. What I loved is that they are also a GSD breeder, so they are very familiar with the unique/particular behavior of this breed. I corresponded with Jayne and found that a new class was starting after the 1st of the year. After talking with my husband, we decided to make the 6 hour trip up to Conifer from Albuquerque, NM. I was extremely hesitant at first, being that we were 6 hours away, I didn’t have easy access to our girl if we left her and we didn’t have experience or knowledge of what this program would entail. But after speaking with Taylor, his reassurance and helping us understand the process and goals, we felt like it would be a good fit and left her for the 30 day Immersion Program with him. He was absolutely wonderful! I received consistent updates and pictures throughout the week and he was always available for check-ins and questions (trust me, I had a million). We drove back up to pick her up and spent about 2 hours learning her new training and making sure we were comfortable in public settings with her (as that should be the expectation). I was mind blown with the progress she made within the 30 days. I could immediately see her confidence and the elimination of her anxious behaviors. She was so happy and so much calmer. We could also see how much she truly bonded with Taylor and Jayne. This was definitely worth the drive up, time and investment! The facility is clean, the staff is amazing and your dog will have plenty of room to develop and grow in the mountains. If you are considering training and/or having challenges with your dog, please consider them to work with your pup! We are so incredibly thankful for what they taught her and for the confidence that was created in both Boji and myself. The barrier was lifted so that she and I can continue to strengthen our companionship and she can be an overall great puppy citizen in both our home and out in public.
