I am very happy with my RCC puppy and this breeder gave him a great start - he is such a confident, intelligent and loving little guy. Amanda is very professional and a pleasure to work with - she allowed us to come meet and interact with the puppies and both of the parents. I love that they were raised with her children - my puppy loves kids- this makes socializing them so much easier. The sire, Louis, is related to two of my current border collies and comes from great championship lines. Amanda helped me pick out the puppy that would best fit into my multi-dog household - and would have the brains, drive and structure to be my next sports partner. I compete with my other dogs in agility & dock diving and can't wait to see where this puppy takes me!

I had such a wonderful experience with Cody and Amanda! They were super nice and easy to work with throughout the process of getting the puppy. My dog I got from them is super sweet, smart, energetic, and easy going. You can tell there puppies are well cared for and loved!

Great experience with Amanda at Riverside Collies & Critters. Our dog, Bartholomew (Bart) is a wonderful family dog! He is small for the breed but a beautiful dog!

Buyers beware. This breeder misrepresented OFA health testing, and months later at least one dam still lacks passing hip scores. After my puppy suffered hip issues (confirmed by radiographs and a veterinarian exam), the breeder refused to honor their own health guarantee. This was not just disappointing—it was unethical. I would not trust this program.

Meet the Breeder
Welcome to Riverside Collies-n-Critters, where our love for Border Collies meets our family’s passion for animals and country living. We are a family of five raising Border Collies—and a few other critters—on our small rural homestead in Huntingtown, Maryland. Surrounded by the beauty of Southern Maryland, we strive to raise healthy, intelligent, and well-rounded dogs that thrive both as companions and as active family members. Our journey began in 2023 when we decided to turn our lifelong admiration for Border Collies into a commitment to responsibly breed and raise them. Our dogs live in our home and are part of our daily family life, where they are socialized with children, chickens, goats, and other dogs. They enjoy plenty of adventures outdoors, including playtime along the scenic Patuxent River. At Riverside Collies-n-Critters, we take pride in producing puppies that are loving, athletic, and ready to adapt to a variety of lifestyles—from farm life to family life. Each pup is raised with care, attention, and affection, ensuring they are healthy, confident, and well-prepared to become cherished members of their new homes.
