Faileas Foise arrived already equipped with skills that can only come from thoughtful early experiences. Jane’s emphasis on exposure to novelty, sound desensitization, and gentle, consistent handling is evident in how Faileas meets the world. When she does startle—as all puppies do—her recovery is impressive and steady. As someone who works professionally with dogs and behavior, I’m acutely aware of how much early upbringing matters. It is my hope that Faileas will grow into my service animal, and while no future is guaranteed, I couldn’t ask for a more solid, ethically raised foundation. Jane’s intentional pairing and puppy-raising practices clearly prioritize emotional resilience and long-term well-being. What has stood out just as much as Faileas herself is Jane’s ongoing support and communication. She has remained responsive and kind throughout the process, including after Faileas came home.
