Our experience with Alohana Cavaliers has been amazing. Hikari’s deep knowledge of the Cavalier breed and commitment to continuing education truly go a long way. We couldn’t ask for anything more, especially out here in the islands. She was incredibly helpful and involved throughout the puppy weaning process, and even a year later she remains our trusted source for health questions and general advice. She truly cares about her puppies AND her puppy families, and demonstrates a genuine passion, professionalism, and ethical approach to breeding. We’re so thankful our girl came from her - she’s healthy, happy, and has been such a joyful addition to our family. Highly recommend!

We are deeply grateful to Hikari at Alohana Cavaliers for trusting our family with one of her puppies. We first discovered Alohana Cavaliers on Instagram and were immediately drawn to her beautiful dogs, the education she shares, and—most importantly—her unwavering commitment to health. After losing our first Cavalier (not from Hikari) to serious health issues, finding a breeder who truly prioritizes health-tested parents was essential to us. Bringing home a Cavalier puppy requires patience and intentionality. From the very beginning, Hikari’s thoughtful screening process, transparency, and open communication made us feel supported and confident. She took the time to answer every question and genuinely cared about placing her puppies in the right homes. What meant the most to us was how carefully she listened to our family’s needs. When the right puppy became available, she recommended pairing her Ruby puppy with our family—and it was the perfect match. Our Ruby is everything we could have hoped for: sweet, beautiful, confident (but not an alpha – exactly what we asked for), and healthy. She came home already comfortable with the crate, grooming, baths, teeth brushing, different smells, and different sounds. She has integrated seamlessly into our family. Welcoming an Alohana Cavalier into your family is a blessing. Working with Hikari who is dedicated not only to producing beautiful Cavaliers, but to improving the health of the breed, and supporting families after placement makes all the difference. We feel incredibly fortunate.

Hikari is amazing. Alohana is a labor of love. Hikari follows breed standards and she ensures every dog is heart and health tested before breeding. We lost two cavaliers to heart disease (not from Hikari), so it gives us such peace of mind knowing our puppy came from healthy, screened parents. What really sets her apart is the socialization. Our puppy came home perfectly comfortable with human touch, loud household noises, and even car rides. We have three children at home and our puppy got along with the kids so well. Our puppy is not skittish or shy. You can tell the puppies are raised in a loving environment where they are prepared for the real world. As a bonus, she offers 'babysitting' when we go on trips, which is a lifesaver because we know our dog is back with family. Our dog is beautiful, sweet, and the perfect representation of the breed. I would give Alohana 10 stars if I could!

We had the absolute best experience with Alohana Cavaliers and Hikari. She is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and truly cares about the Cavalier breed. I learned so much from her throughout the process, and it was clear how intentional and responsible her breeding program is. We waited about a year for our puppy, and it was 100% worth it. He’s beautiful, healthy, and we constantly get asked if he’s a show dog! His parents, Mark and Ellie, clearly passed on the best traits. Our puppy was also exceptionally well socialized and adjusted. When we brought our newborn home, he instinctively knew his boundaries and adapted so beautifully. He now absolutely adores our daughter and has become her little protector and best buddy, which speaks volumes about the care and foundation he received early on. If I could give Alohana a 10 star review, I absolutely would. Hikari is amazing and has been a trusted resource even years later. Our boy is almost two, and she’s always happy to answer questions or receive updates. She truly cares about bettering the breed, her puppies, and her puppy families. We couldn’t be happier with our sweet boy 💛🐾

I cannot recommend Alohana Cavaliers highly enough. The owner (Hikari) is with you every step of the way, providing vital information and consideration to potential owners, answering questions before puppy births, providing regular updates and photos of the litter, and providing support after adoption with any questions that come up. She values regular updates on her pups after they are placed, because she truly cares about their well-being and loves them. When you purchase a puppy from Hikari, you can be sure she has gone above and beyond with health testing and only breeds dogs who are sound and who have good temperament. She also has the puppies assessed by a professional dog trainer for temperament prior to placement. My puppy came home at 12 weeks able to sit, familiar with his crate, and slept through the night in his crate on his second day home. He is extremely well socialized and has loved people and other animals from day 1. People ask to pet him all the time and remark how sweet and beautiful he is. I took him to the vet within 48 hours of getting him home (per contract) and my vet was very impressed with the documentation the breeder provided as well as how lovely he is. I waited about a year for my puppy and it was well worth the wait.
