Hi everyone! My name is Chance Kuhlmann, and I’m the owner of Kuhlmann Kennels on Instagram and Facebook. I currently have two females and one male. My first female, Lilo, holds a very special place in my program. Her pedigree includes Makahas, Phantoms, and Scandifios bloodlines, with Makahas being the most recent influence. Recently, I came across some reviews mentioning concerns about inbreeding in the Makahas bloodline. After carefully reviewing Lilo’s pedigree, I want to clarify that she is linebred — not inbred. Linebreeding, when done responsibly, is a common and strategic practice used to preserve and predict desirable traits such as structure, temperament, and type. It allows breeders to have more consistency in what they produce. Lilo herself shows no signs of inbreeding and is a beautiful representation of her pedigree. In her stack, she displays a strong headpiece, straight front legs, tight feet, a broad chest, and balanced rear angulation. Overall, she is a very nice female. Of course, no dog is perfect. Lilo’s topline runs slightly higher toward the rear, and her muzzle is a bit on the narrower side. However, thoughtful and selective breeding decisions are how we work to improve and complement those areas in future litters. I’m not claiming Makahas Cane Corso are the best but they have produced some very nice dogs, and I’m proud of the foundation Lilo brings to my program. Along with Tyson and Taulia, she will play a significant role in the future of Kuhlmann Kennels. While I would have loved the opportunity to connect more with the Makahas breeder directly, I remain focused on building my program with transparency, integrity, and continuous learning. Thank you to everyone who supports and follows our journey. — Chance Kuhlmann IG @Kuhlmann_Kennels

The worst experience of my life. Dog was horribly ill from the second I saw it. The breeder was very abrasive and unprofessional. When I mentioned anything about the incurring vet bills the lady refused to take calls. Currently in a lawsuit and trying to get that is owed

Beware of this lady...she is very rude, unprofessional, & a liar. She INBREEDS her dogs & tries to sell them for top dollar with NO papers. She should not be breeding dogs period. Not a reputable breeder, Scammer.

I've never met anyone that puts more effort into giving her animals the best possible care. The foods and medications and thought put into raising animals of this high caliber is exceptional.I'm rather shocked to see a couple negative reviews and have to wonder about their agenda. You have to wonder about accounts with only 1 or 2 reviews ever and if they are even real. The dogs are beautiful and top notch.

Dog was born during a parvo outbreak, 2 dogs lived out of 3 litters. The dog we picked out died from parvo before delivery, as did the second one. We ended up with the third try. Spent a significant amount traveling to meet picking out the dogs from the outer islands as well as the cremation of both puppies. I still feel like the breeder let us down in the process but It has been 9 years, so unsure what has changed if anything. We took delivery of our dog at 8 weeks old to get him to a safe place (we felt due to massive die off from Parvo). He lived for 9 years without any major health issues due to breeding ( broke his leg stepping in a hole at 6 months at the dog park and yearly dental cleaning). Arthritis started around year 8, and he passed away from sudden heart failure in under 2 hours at 9 years 2 months. He stayed around 130 lbs his entire adult life. I miss my best friend, more than i have words.
