Glory Ridge Shih

We bought our first Glory Ridge Shih-Tzu puppy 12/23/2018. Our puppy, Max, was well cared for when we picked him up, very clean and happy. He was chipped and he had a clean bill of health from the vet before she scheduled pick-up, and she hand us a well-organized folder of records and information. Our little guys were well socialized and had the sweetest temperaments from day one. All 3 boys have certainly brought lots of joy to our lives and I love how they all have their own sweet personalities! Max turned a "no house pets mom" into a mom who 5 years later, has not one but two Glory Ridge boys who are always at my feet ☺️. Karen has been amazing, anything from answering my multitude of questions to being available even on the weekend for advice when my little guy was sick. I couldn't ask for a better breeder and I would not even consider getting a puppy from another breeder. She cares about her dogs and puppies and is very knowledgeable. We live south of St. Louis and my husband and I are more than happy to drive 4 hours to Glory Ridge for our puppy. Love our Glory Ridge Shih-Tzus

We got our last Shih Tzu from Karen just over four years ago. He has the best temperament of any of the dogs we have owned! He is intelligent and VERY healthy - we call him 'the gymnast' - he has been a wonderful addition to our family!

I had been watching for a few months, texting Karen off and on and then she posted the most beautiful fur baby in February. A small, mahogany red, black muzzle male named "ying ling" was on the webpage. I had wanted a female, many reviews, owner posts and even Karen had said that you would not be sorry with a Glory Ridge boy. I fell in love at first sight with this little guy and immediately contacted Karen to see if he was actually available. Well, I did ask hubby first. Karen sent almost weekly updates and photos, boy those were long weeks until we could pick him up on Easter weekend. Charley is the sweetest little guy, he just bounces all over the house. He has already made friends with Ruby, (our 11 year old Bichon - tzu mix) and Bella, (our 10 year old shih tzu.) Ruby and Charley take turns chasing each other and rough housing as pups do, which is funny, him being 2.7lbs and Ruby 15lbs. Bella is still a bit standoffish, but she is becoming more herself each day. It was great being able to pick up Charley and meet Karen in person. I think she is a breeder of the highest quality from beginning to end. We got a care package in a folder with our new pups health history, a bag of his food and a darling blanket to go home with him. Little Charley already has us wrapped around his little paw! Thank you Karen and Glory Ridge for our addition to our fur family!

We have a 4-month shih tzu from Glory Ridge. He is the sweetest and happiest little pup. We did a lot of research to find a place we were comfortable with as this was our first time with the breed. Our experience with Glory Ridge was fantastic! We received weekly updates on our puppy which was exciting for our daughter to see. Once it was time for him to come home, Karen was extremely accommodating on arranging a location and time that worked for us. Not only do I recommend everyone to get a shih tzu, I recommend everyone to work with Glory Ridge!

We have had years of experience with owning Shih Tzu's! We understand their temperament, personality, and the genetics that with a bad breeding can make for a very unhealthy pup! The two we own now are both from Glory Ridge. THEY are amazing and we feel blessed to have found this breeder. They are happy and most of all very healthy. (I cannot forget to mention they are beautiful too!) If you are looking to have the best quality Shih Tzu, you must go with Glory Ridge. The waiting list at times may be long but it is well worth the wait!
