Welcome to Dutch Maid Bernese. We are a small Christian family in the Northeast corner of Indiana, just outside of Ft. Wayne, IN. We live on a farm with a few horses and some beef cattle. Our family consists of myself, Paul Schmucker, and my wife of 22 years, Verna. The Lord has blessed us with 3 precious children: Caleb, Grace, and Jared. A little over 10 years ago, we bought our first Bernese! It was love at first sight for all of us!!! After having them for only a short time, we knew this was the breed for us. Our whole family is involved with raising these wonderful family companions. We started breeding them about 7 years ago. It has turned into a wonderful family project. Our goals are to breed for quality, confirmation, and disposition. Our dogs have outstanding temperaments, and our children very well socialize the puppies. They absolutely love people and are terrific with children. It has been a great joy to provide many families with a loving new member of their family. When our puppies leave our farm, they will have been examined by our vet, have dew claws removed, and be up to date with deworming and vaccinations. Please feel free to contact us anytime.
