We had an outstanding experience with Dublin's Classic Labradors. Their knowledge of the Labrador breed is immediately apparent—they took the time to answer all of our questions, explain the temperament and characteristics of their dogs, and ensure we felt confident throughout the process. They were always accessible, responsive, and genuinely cared about helping us find the right fit for our family. The quality of their Labradors speaks for itself: healthy, well-socialized, and clearly raised with exceptional care and attention. We highly recommend Dublin's Classic Labradors to anyone looking for a well-bred Labrador from a breeder who is knowledgeable, professional, and truly passionate about the breed.

Shawn was so amazing throughout the entire process keeping us informed with weekly pupdates and how to prepare for our boy coming home! He made sure that all of our questions were always answered and is very responsive to any texts. He spent a lot of time with us at pickup to go through all of the ins and outs of taking him home and provided us with organized paperwork for our first vet appointment. Our boy bear is so incredibly sweet and smart. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would 100% recommend him!

We are a huge fan of this family and how deeply they care about our next family member. These dogs are bred exactly how you want them to fit into your family. Our puppy, Winston, has assimilated into our home very quickly and only wants to please us. We are very thankful that we found this family and appreciate the great lengths they take to make sure you get the perfect dog. We will be getting another dog from them soon! We love our experience with Winston. He has been perfect!

Shawn and the team at Dublin’s Classic Labradors are wonderful! We have a 6 month old black lab puppy named Gordy that has been an absolute joy! When Gordy was born we received lengthy weekly updates with pictures and were able to watch his growth over time until we picked him up at 8 weeks old! Gordy is so smart, friendly, loyal, and well mannered for such a young puppy, and not to mention so handsome!! Shawn has always been available to answer any questions we may have and we just couldn’t speak highly enough of him and his team. This is our first experience owning a dog and they have been such a great resource and taught us so much! Gordy is such a good boy and we are thrilled with the quality of his breeding and all the love he has given our family so far!!

It has been almost a week since we got our Max. He is the sweetest (despite the landshark tendencies), smartest, and bravest little guy -- he absolutely knows no fear! He is friendly and so outgoing. Shawn was terrific from the time we started to this day! He is always available for any questions we might have. Highly recommend this breeder!! Thank you so much Shawn!! Max is a great addition to our family. ❤️ ❤️

top of pageOur StoryThough our family started hobby breeding Labrador Retrievers in 2002, our story goes back much further in time. One of my earliest memories was looking out our family room window when I was 3 or 4 years and seeing our black Lab, Sam, sleeping on top of Dad's station wagon. That was in the early 1970s. While Dad was too busy with his veterinary practice to think about breeding Labs, it was his breed of choice and soon became mine. There was never a time growing up that we didn't have Labradors. When I came back from college in the early 90s, one of the first things I did was purchase a yellow Lab of my own. After countless hours of training, "Sheila" became my faithful hunting companion. For the next 10 years, we splashed in swamps and tromped pheasant fields from Indiana to Iowa. I got married in 1998 and my wife understood that Labs were part of the deal. Our next Labrador was a gift and why we named her "Cody" I'll never know. She didn't seem to mind. By this time, we had a couple young children. I thought it might add some excitement into the family if Cody had a litter of pups. Dad had a nice black male named "Clyde" and the two of them produced several fine litters together before leaving the world behind and us heartbroken. Through trial and error and over time, I discovered I had an awful lot to learn about breeding Labs. In fact, I would be embarrassed to admit all the mistakes I made in those early years. But, from the beginning, it has been my goal to improve our breeding with each litter. I'm not ashamed to tell you that I continue to learn from other great breeders and, of course, from Dad, who is in his 59th year of practicing veterinary medicine. We only breed quality, genetically pre-screened Labradors and we provide a comprehensive written health guarantee with every puppy. Why do we do what we do? It's because we believe a well-bred Lab is truly a blessing from God. And if He will allow us to improve the Labrador breed and at the same time bring a little more happiness into your home, we count that an honor. For nearly 24 years, that's what we've been doing.
