Doberman Training in Connecticut. DTE

I adopted my 2 year old American bully last summer, and I reached out to Dog Training Elite to start obedience and lifestyle training immediately in Branford, CT. Jason and Illiana were both great, giving clear instructions and helping me set expectations with Ziggy. They are also very responsive - I texted Illiana after having a particularly frustrating day with my little teenager, she answered immediately and was able to talk me through what I should do and followed up in our next training session. Ziggy is well socialized, calm, and respectful in almost any situation. I feel confident taking him with me in public places and it has definitely fostered a great relationship between us - he really enjoys training, and it’s fun to watch his brain work! The group classes are also a great way to socialize with other dogs in a professional setting - and they are located at some beautiful parks I’ve never been to which is a fun bonus!

Dog Training Elite and trainer Justin have been terrific to work with and I have seen very positive results with my dog. My dog and I have worked with Jason over several 1-1 sessions and his training is clear and easily applied. His feedback to me has been very helpful in addressing issues such as barking, reactivity, leash pulling and basic obedience. In addition to 1-1 sessions, the group training sessions have been great opportunities to expose my dog to other dogs in a controlled environment. These sessions also reinforce the training received in individual sessions. My dog loves Jason and responds very well to him, and I appreciate his patient approach to me as I learn to address issues with my dog. I highly recommend Dog Training Elite and Jason to receive positive results with your dog!

DTE has been a tremendous help for my dog Wally. He is a rescue pup, primarily hunting breeds with a strong prey drive. He is not very food motivated and not super people oriented, so I was worried training was going to be tricky. He is also wicked stubborn... That being said, my main goals going into his training were 1) ability to do off leash hikes 2) discipline and 3) better behavior around other dogs. We are a little over halfway through his training at this point and I can confidently say that he has already surpassed expectations, to the point where strangers who see us out are shocked that he is only 11 months old! Jason is very knowledgeable and helps you think about dog training from the perspective of the dog. Thinking from my dogs POV I feel like has really allowed us to bond and form a trusting, respectful relationship with each other. And it is what allows us to have more fun! Wally and I go on off leash hikes together almost every day and it is the highlight of all my days. Jason listens to your goals and works with you each individual session on what you think is most needed for you and your dog, rather than having a set template of how training is going to go each session. We had an excellent experience with Jason and Iliana. Our 2 year old GSP is an amazing dog but full of energy and curiosity - we love taking him on hikes and wanted to strengthen his off leash recall, as well as leash pulling. We tried other training approaches but he seemed immune! DTE helped us strengthen our communication and trust with our pup, and his overall obedience. They come to your home, meet you out in public training locations, and offer 1:1 and group sessions. Thank you team!

Lauren The owner and Wendy in the Office and Jason and Juliana, who were the instructors out in the field, going to multiple destinations to ensure proper training and socialization for our future together, was very stress-free and accommodating for times and destinations The training was so professional that everyone was relaxed through All the sessions during an after your final training when my dog is certified as a service dog, we can go twice a month for group training, which gets your socialization and training with other dogs. The veterans helping veterans nonprofit organization, took care of all the training needs in order to hit Our final goal thank you one and all It was our pleasure to have worked with you and thank you for all your help!
